Kruiz 136 Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 My dad has recently got a new laptop and wireless router but can't get it to connect. He has AOL 9.0 VR and is using Vista. The Router is a Netgear DG834G Wireless ADSL Modem/Router which it says it is compatible with AOL. As far as I know its set up correctly, anybody any idea what might be wrong? 632jas Posted March 2, 2008 Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 my dad has aol and some netgear router. we had lots of trouble trying to set it up and we must of spent the routers value in phone calls to wherever to get help the main thing we found is that you need to find you ORIGINAL aol password as in the very first one you used and your very first email adress. hope this could be of somehelp. if not best idea is to ring the netgear people. There is a page IP adress you can type into IE which brings up all sorts of settings but cant remember for buggery what it is.
