Andymek Posted May 23, 2005 Author Report Posted May 23, 2005 Thought you were going to Buxton Andy?? 17861 Me too big chap!!! Over-endulged on the shandies on Saturday night and wasnt up to a drive down south!!
Badura_Racing258 Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 Moodie is giving a good account of himself these days. Nicely done again down at Buxton. It's fair enough to say he can mix it with the Big Boys of the South? What other Scottish drivers madea journey down south?
DaveW329 Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 wee dennis was there and i think that was it some bruising racing aswell with lyndon burley doing his best effort to clear the back straight fence english was a farce imo as on the 3rd accident the clerk of the course waved red for a full restart but for some reason they went to rolling lap under yellows when hounded by spectators the guy just turned away. i am a supporter of buxton as one of my local track but a lack of pace car (until finals that is) wasnt used for any other race dissappointing when i know the promoter puts a lot of effort in.
jessie Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Well looks like the results have been changed...Moodie won the English open the first 3 got dropped for using too much tyre softner.....
Pedz 212 Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 what do u mean to much?? it's still banned???
Shaft Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 what do u mean to much?? it's still banned??? Think your aloud a certain amount of tire softner due to the fact that the tyres will still have it on from bein used previously im sure someone will correct me if im wrong!
Cabs Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 (edited) Your wrong ! NO tyre softener was allowed to be used after April 1st Edited May 27, 2005 by Cabs
Shaft Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 SO WHAT IF U USED TYRE SOFTNER ON UR TYRES LAST YEAR AND ITS STILL ON THEM?
jessie Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 couple of weeks ago one of the f2 drivers bought 4 new tyres and put them right on the car, when the marshalls checked them after the race one out of the 4 had tyre softner on it.....so some of them might actually have it on when you buy them...
Badura_Racing258 Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 Oh, so Gordon Moodie ran the show and won the English? I think it should be noted that when Gordon used illegal fuel, he got a roasting from everyone for doing so, understandble, but when THREE others cheat in a big race/championship race, no one really cares. Atleast teh non-cheater won, which is the main thing.
Pedz 212 Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 (edited) i have been hearing that there is some softer that is hard to trace...... imo it be easier to let them us it as its very hard to police imo Edited May 28, 2005 by Pedz 212
Badura_Racing258 Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 If it helps...it should be banned. Those caught should have a tough punishment, breaking the rules is not on. Once again, i think Moodie should be the first one to complain about Goldin, for his cheating...as he's always accusing other people. What i love the most? A scot went down there and took the title SInce when did that ever happen?!
Andymek Posted May 28, 2005 Author Report Posted May 28, 2005 A scot went down there and took the title SInce when did that ever happen?! 18591 Not near as often as an Englishman has came up here and took ours!!! couple of weeks ago one of the f2 drivers bought 4 new tyres and put them right on the car, when the marshalls checked them after the race one out of the 4 had tyre softner on it.....so some of them might actually have it on when you buy them... 18554 Dont think so somehow!!
Chewy102 Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 SInce when did that ever happen?! 18591 Ali King Hartlepool... ?
Andymek Posted May 29, 2005 Author Report Posted May 29, 2005 Ali King Hartlepool... ? 18652 T'was that the year the track flooded on turns 1&2, giving the win to Kingy when Speakie went through the puddle flat out and killed the car whilst leading?
Chewy102 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 T'was that the year the track flooded on turns 1&2, giving the win to Kingy when Speakie went through the puddle flat out and killed the car whilst leading? 18664 Memory not quite THAT good
Andymek Posted May 29, 2005 Author Report Posted May 29, 2005  Memory not quite THAT good 18696 Anything to do with the bump on the head you took a few weeks back, or are you just getting older?
Chewy102 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Anything to do with the bump on the head you took a few weeks back, or are you just getting older? 18699 Yes

A scot went down there and took the title SInce when did that ever happen?! 18591 I don't know about the English Open specifically, but Moodie won the GNC at Bristol last year and Arena the year before, so not like its unheard of.
Badura_Racing258 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Ph dear, really taking it to heart, eh? It was just tongue in cheek, as Moodie doesn't get the credit he deserves. I know it's happened many a time... Anyway...I wont be sarcastic again, or if i am...i'll remember to tell you all before hand
bathyboy81 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 If you could please, I find it very difficult to tell when your being saracastic or ill informed. Split personality etc...
