Thanks very much Dan for running the meeting for us. You did a superb job, and I am sure it wont be the last.

 

Congratulations to Dazza on a truly dominant performance tonight. Was faster than anyone else and results rerally showed that tonight.

 

Ok, so I suppose you want to know what happened at the start of the final........

 

Well it's quite simple, as I typed 'gogogogogogogogogo' I caught the return button which meant that half of the people went and half didnt go (me included). I infact didnt realise until people started passing me on the first turn to which I did my usual and promptly spun.

 

I do apologise to anyone that it inconvenienced, but at the minute we have to have someone who is racing taking care of the stewarding at the same time as racing. Until the race numbers increase, this is likely the way that we will have to go. I have been doing this since the start of the season, and this is the first time I have made a mistake, although that is no excuse.

 

Before you ask me why I didn't restart it, I wasnt sure how to reset a race in the rfactor server, and had not become the admin within the server either. I can assure you this is being rectified to make sure this doesnt happen again (with there being multiple admin members in furture races), and we are looking into a possible solution to the stewarding problem.

 

Anyway, my night was not too good. I think I hit about ten tyres and spun about 6 times so in the end I gave up a little and retired. O well, there is always Hednesford next week........ o thats right, I didnt make it round the first bend without spinning last time there

Johno, you do a great job, but why oh why don't you use the quick chat function? Just assign the three commands to numpad 1,2 and 3 or something - then no typing is needed.

We actually tried to set this up last night (granted a bit last minute) and I went in a tested it in the server very quickly (think only LeeK was in there) and we couldnt get it to work.

 

I do know that Dan has this set up, and I will look into getting mine set up as well properly as well.

What a difference a grade can make. Never able to get anywhere from blue, but had a trouble free night from yellow.

I even managed to drive away from some blues after the unlucky start of the final.

I was even leading it until Johno and his tyres where there (U can stop testing the tractor tyres now, i'm sure MoR made sure they stay in place )

I think I can officially confirm that not one of them tyres move - I think I managed to try the whole lot on thursday night, and that is after the first meeting there when I only hit one!!
