rFactor problem, error loading tracks

Hey all, I'm posting on behalf of a friend who says every time he loads a track it comes up with track error opening MAS file COMMONMAPS.mas.

 

He's had the game working before, so I don't know what to suggest to him other than a fresh install, anybody any ideas?

COMMONMAPS.mas is a standard .mas file by the look of it as it is not in any other track file so ask if the COMMONMAPS.mas is in the correct location C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations if it is not there then he needs it there

 

or maybe someone else has had this problem? and can give another fix?

indeed, there are (or at least i have in mine) 3 common files, commonmaps.mas, sky.mas and terrain.tdf, i've enclosed em in a zip file, ask your m8 to unzip them and then move them to locations folder, should solve the problem
