Hi, just standard xp firewall cheers jeff ok, well plenty work around that, but i'm not altogether sure how (i'm on a router so thats got its own built-in firewall so i've got the windows one turned off). You could try a cleverer firewall like zonealarm, that allows you to set permissions for certain processes (i used to use ZA with heat without a problem, once its set up) and it is (or was) free. Download available here at Cnet , if you check the screenshot you can see the 'program control' section, where you'd allow nheat.exe and heat.bin two-way access, which should cure the 'hostname not resolved' issue. Don't forget, once ZA's running, to disable your windows firewall. cheers, as always let us know if it works for you Edited August 8, 2009 by wrighty496
