Thanks to James for running the meeting.

 

Well done to Murf for winning the final and to Hutch for being the top points scorer.

 

I really enjoyed the racing tonight. There were some really good battles throughout the field and I thought the racing was absolutely superb. Struggled a little bit more when the bumpers went flying in come DFC time, but still really enjoyed the battles with the lower grade drivers.

 

It feels like pot calling kettle black a little here, because I was forever moaned at about starts when I was on F1 Admin, but in the meeting final I was actually in second gear before the go had been called. The starts in the early part of the meeting were realy good but then went downhill to the point where I was doing over 30 in the final to keep up. I have always said as long as the grade gaps stay the same then it is alright, but this is really fast.

 

Anyway, thanks for a superb night. Perhaps my last one of the year, although I hope work allows for at least one outing on the shale as I have not had a go on the shale just yet.
