Well Done Tom

I have yet to be in a World Final where I get a decent race!!

Having kept a tight line on the first bend as everybody had gone wide, I then found my line blocked by a spinning car, so ended up last after the first bend just like the F1 World Final!!!

Made up some ground only to be spun out by the same driver whom blocked my way on lap 1 and hitting a tyre. Not wanting to reverse back into the oncoming traffic, it took me ages to get going again only to break my suspension late on in the race - so disappointed after all the practice and build up to the race.

After last nights meeting, which was a great blues battle between Southy, Simon and myself, I hoped to be competitve again especially with more cars this time.

Heat 1 and what a shock - missed everything that was going on and found myself in 2nd with 4 to go. Managed to get Samwit with one to go and held onto the last bend hit to take the win!! Superb.

Heat 2 & 3 had there problems but on the whole decent races.

Final - Doing great in the opening laps, until a lap down Spiro dived in causing a half spin which Samwit finished off. 5th to 16th in one dirty move so was not happy. Nezza got a good un, probably the best hit I have ever done in F2's, but he returned it just a few laps later. Laps were counting down and I couldn't catch Nezza but we found ourselves in 9th and 10th, and happily settled for 10th.

GN, again got a great start and was in a rhythm until I caught Dougie & Ricky, I decided not to go in hard and sweep through on the inside instead. BIG MISTAKE!! I found myself embedded in a tyre thanks to Ricky (Dougie was racing fairly) and that ended my points race. However, Tom made the end to the race interesting. Throwing caution to the wind I slung the car around as did Tom and how we didn't end up in the parked cars is beyond belief!! Great racing Tom - really enjoyed it

Its so much better when you are comfortable with the car, I can see why the top guys enjoy it so much when they do battle and why they hate it so much when stupid errors ruin it. :o

Hopefully Mildenhall will be more of the same - See You There!!
