Lines around the panels

Im am trying to put lines around the panels. I am using the line tool but I can't get a decent line. I just get the attached. Can anyone help or if i send the psd file they can do the lines for me? Ta

Try selecting the panels with the wand tool ( I then make a new layer, with the selection still active), then go to Select>Modify> Contract and contract the selection by about 12px ( I do 12 as I paint on double the normal size template) then I do smooth by 10px then smooth by 10px again (works better than doing 20 in 1 go) then fill that area in white (flood fill tool), contract the selection by 1 px (or whatever you want as this is the width of your outline), then delete the selected area which should leave you with a 1px outline around all your panels.

I use the polygonal lasso tool southy, once you have drawn out your coachlines right click stroke 1px and whatever colour you like do the same for all the different panels

Thanks - I only need one file doing for the F2's and the rest will be replicated across.

 

When i decide on the F1 chassis i'll post the psd file here again.
