Thanks for the meeting Dan and other admins.

Really enjoyed the racing, not just cause of my points but had great battles with all of the top drivers and felt very much on the pace.

WD to Mike, excellent drive in the final and Danskin in the semi - just could not catch you.

Apolgies again to Chevykiller for pushing you in the mud piles - was watching the mirrors for Kane but didnt see you on the inside.

See you all next week.

Thanks to Dan for the meeting and well done to Mike on a dominant final win - a great way to get your gold top season off to a start!

Pleased with the way the night went in the end, having clawed it back from being a total disaster after 4 miserable first heats. Speed wise I was certainly very average last night so it was always going to be hard from s/s, but I seemed to get caught up in everything and end up driving my nuts off for 1 or 0 points. That changed in the final heat after a fantastic race with Jack, who was very patient and fair all race, with the battle going down to the last bend. The semi was another good race and the final was fantastic (particually the opening laps, trying to hold the outside line in a great sideways battle with Jack and Southy until Robin took the opportunity to split us up - great move though). Southy was flying all night (2012 season sensation maybe?) and caught and passed me with a textbook hit last but one bend that there was no coming back from, so well done to him on that one.

A solid start to the season anyway - I can't race next week, so hopefully be out for Northampton :)

Thanks for the comments in this topic and in the server last night. It was a good battle at the start MoR but think I was only in that position due to some luck. After the first few laps of the semi I thought that I would eventually get swallowed up by faster drivers but as I looked behind in the mirror there was a decent gap yet I were not far behind Dan so started to think that I'm onto something here.

As for the hit on MoR on the last but one bend, I had been passed by Tom and Dan and then MoR and normally last year I would of settled for sitting behind them and collect some points but I saw Tom and Dan tripping each other up and decided to scratch the new paint on the front bumper and it worked!

As for the 2012 sensation......i'll try by best, alot of practice laps have been done over the winter, the F1's are my main priority this year. Remember the first meeting last year at Birmingham? I took the top points then. Aim forthis season - top 3 finish in a title race and gain red grade - of course a title win would not go a miss.

What a top class meeting. Congratulations Mike on the final win, A very good drive from you. Had some very good heats scoring well in most of them with some very good racing. Thanks MOR, That was one brilliant race mate, I loved every lap of that race, some very close and fair stockcar racing going on between both of us. During the racing to I seemed to keep coming across dode aswell, Which was a good thing, Quite a few brilliant races between us, well done mate.

I forgot to add, cracking last bend hit in the final Johno

I tried to get both of you as I thought we were battling for 10th place. When I crossed the line I realised we wasnt but then it appears we were with Ricky being a lap up!

Thanks to Dan for running the meeting and congratulations to Mike on taking the flag in the final.

I struggled throughout the night. I actually got myself in some really good places in the heats but then just did not have the pace to stay ahead or lost it due to trying too hard. I think it is going to take me a long while to get used to the wheel and pedals, especially as I ain't practicing anywhere near enough.

I must say, people seemed to race very fairly which meant that the racing was very good. Well done to all involved. Fingers crossed it continues long into the season.

Cheers

Johno
