2012 UK Open

This week sees the F2 circus stop at the seaside town, and home of the mobility scooter Skegness for the 2012 UK Open. Mike 315 has won the title in two out of the last three seasons, and is looking to become the first three time holder of any championship in rFactor.

In previous seasons we have run this meeting over two nights and it has included Semi-Finals for each driver. For 2012 the format has been condensed to 1 night, and the decision on the fate of semi finals will depend on the number of cars booked in. What we can confirm is each driver will get a minimum of 3 heats.

W&Y promotions

F2 admin are acutely aware that when the prize money is distributed at the end of the season to championship winners, more than the lions share always goes to the higher grade drivers.

We are looking at a number of initiatives for 2012 to try and get a fairer distribution. The first two of these we have decided to introduce this week.

Offer 1

The highest finishing white or yellow graded driver in the UK Open championship will receive £5 towards their 2013 server fees.

Offer 2

All white or yellow grade drivers that complete a minimum of three heats at the UK Open meeting will be entered in to a random draw to win £5 towards their 2013 Server fee. The draw will take place at the Brisca European championship meeting on the 15th of July at the same time as the draw for the European Championship grid.

So what are you waiting for, get booked in now to have the opportunity to take the title away from MIke
