White Screen when viewing videos

Hi all,

 

Whenever i try to view video's the screen goes really white, and i cant figure out why. It seems to make the video really bright and im not sure why as they are recorded fine and they play on the telly fine so it is something with the computer i think.

 

Ive tried messing about with the settings in Windows Media Player but that hasnt worked so i dunno what it is??

 

Hope someone can help

What type of file are they? mpeg, avi etc etc you might be missing a codec for the file, maybe try playing the video in a different player? real player, quicktime etc etc

What Graphics card have you got, the video setting on there might be wrong..I had the same prob,

Restore the defaults on that tab if you have a nvidia type card and see what happens
