Hundreds still to apply for licences Last posted: Wednesday 3 August 2005 08:51 PUBS, clubs and restaurants in Bolton face a race against time to apply for new-style drinks licences. Council officials say that so far (on Tuesday) only half the estimated 1,000 Bolton premises which will need new licences have sent in the paperwork before the August 6 deadline. Those who do not meet the deadline could end up being shut down in the run-up to Christmas. As part of new licensing laws being brought in by the Government, responsibility for issuing licences has passed from magistrates to Bolton Council. .................................

Guest leasj1 Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 very sorry to hear that, a true stockcar man when it mentions when he is better he will want to get back into his motor. Just hope everything goes well for the lad and he does eventually get back into it.
Ham 775 Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I was at that meeting and it is one of the hardest and scariest impacts i've seen in many years. (Trav was there and said basically the same and he sees a lot more racing than me) My thought's are with Simon and his family and here's hoping he recovers quickly from his injuries.
