Wardieee Posted June 4, 2016 Report Posted June 4, 2016 So this week the UKDirt F1 Stockcars head to the east coast for some more thrilling championship action at Skegness Stadium, where the current British Champion Jakeeey 691 will be looking to defend this Black and White roof! Last time out at Skegness Jake managed to win the feature final adding the UK Open Championship to his collection, however with a slightly different format and a few more danger men will Jake managed to dominate yet again? World Champion Tom Drabble is certainly one of the keen favourites to stop him, however after quite a few big problems at Nutts Corner will Tom be back to his usual dominating ways on tarmac? Simpson 653 was of course the last person to win a tarmac final, securing the Irish Championship over at Nutts Corner. Ryan has certainly been on the pace this year in the F1s so it will be interesting to see if he can keep up with the big boys now he is running off red. Two people you certainly can’t count out of the equation are Liam Brown and Tsjalle. Both of these two drivers have dominated on tarmac over the past few months, so it will be interesting to see what they can do when racing under the pressure of winning this prestigious major. The British is famous for its closed grid format, usually lead by a dominant lower grader who has managed to score really well in the heats. Stox 246 would certainly of been a favourite for taking pole in the British however after dominating from yellow he has managed to move himself to red, one of the real hit of miss grades when racing in a format like this. The yellows to look out for will certainly be DanW and DBecks both currently scoring well from yellow, and very much on the pace. Skegness is also likely to attract a few drivers who haven’t races so much this season, including the returning 167 machine of CB. Callum has been out in a novice car already this season, however the eagerly awaited 167 machine is likely to be seen in its new livery around Skeg. Jack Morgan in the 249 machine is yet another driver we are likely to see around for the British. Jack hasn’t raced much this year, however after last week’s Kings Lynn final win Jack will certainly be up for some British Championship Action! As always drivers are expected to meet in chat at 8:20, ahead of an 8:30 start. Each driver will race in 5 heats each, with the top 22 points scorers qualifying for the British Championship, with the highest points scorer starting on pole position of the closed grid finale!
