World Championship Semi-Finals:

 

LiamB #90 top scored in the World Championship Qualifying Points and has chosen the Buxton World Championship Semi-Final.

Note: The coin toss took place at 18:50 on Saturday 27/08/2016 using the VCT website in the presence of Wardieee, DanSkin, LeeK and demonstone. Wardieee #180 called tails, and the coin came up heads (click here and set the 'view a prior toss' section to: 08/27/2016 hour 13 minute 50). DanSkin #236 chose to start on the inside.

 

Rules:

 

Semi Finals:

  • Where a driver cannot race, a gap will be left on the grid and a reserve added at the back.
  • Semi Finals are 20 car races, 20 laps, run before the meeting, with the top 10 qualifying for the World Final.
  • Semi Final points: 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5.
Consolation Semi Final:
  • First priority to all members who did not qualify through the Semi Final.
  • Second priority to the remaining members in qualifying points order.
  • Not open to defending World Champion.
  • Consolation Semi Final is 20 car race, 16 laps, run before the meeting, with the top 4 qualifying for the World Final.
  • Consolation Semi Final is not point scoring.
World Final:
  • Grid order is Semi Finalists, followed by Consolation Semi Finalists and then defending champion (if seeded onto rear).
  • Pole is decided by a coin toss between the Semi-Final winners (and then the grid alternatives inside/outside behind them).
  • World Final is 24 (or 25) car race, 25 laps, run before the meeting.
  • World Final points: 200, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5.
  • The winner has the option to retire from the meeting, or take only 50 points and continue racing the meeting.
  • The 2016 World Champion is entitled to the gold roof until the 2017 World Final.

That's the whole row spare :)

If 691 & 236 don't race that's 4 lucky reserves!!

 

Shame for Rev and me as we put so much effort into getting there. ;)

Just seen that LiamB didn't have a choice to make, he is banned for Sheffield Semi! :rofl:

Both 411 & 79 both banned for Sheffield also.

 

Think LiamB would've pick tarmac anyway :thumbup:

Very hard semis. Fingers crossed some epic racing will come from them! Good luck to everyone in the Buxton semi, myself, lloydy and CB will be watching from Venray! Somehow I think LiamB made the right choice!

And I can't make my semi either I really didn't look at the dates I just chose Buxton because I hate Sheffield !! I'm away on holiday

What a pitty for me. No racing for me the next 2 months. Very sad because i enjoy it so much.

I have my right leg/foot in plaster (tendor rapture/tendinites) for 6 weeks

Sorry guys, i hope for you all for great and fair races.

Hopefully i recover soon and can come back somewhere in october.

I follow you on forum.
