Hi

 

How can i get my comp to pick shale cars on shale tracks, and tar cars on tar tracks in the brisca heat game. I took all of the shale cars out of the game, so now it only has tar cars left. So the problem with tar cars on tar tracks is solved. But i can't use the shale cars anymore. I remember this was asked before. I used the search but couldn't find it. Maybe someone could help.

Hmm.

You could have two copies of your drivers.txt file.

One called SHALEdrivers.txt with only shale cars in

One called TARMACdrivers.txt with only tarmac cars in

 

And copy either one to plain old

drivers.txt

when you're running one or the other groups of tracks, but you'd have to exit the game to change from one surface to the other.

But do i have to restore the original drivers.txt file, or should i empty it completely (take all the cars out and then copy the tarmac file and the shale file to it?)

With my method, you will always have three files:

 

TARMACdrivers.txt

SHALEdrivers.txt

drivers.txt

 

drivers.txt will always just be a copy of either the TARMAC or SHALE versions. As long as you don't delete them, or lose them, you can always then just copy them over drivers.txt (for example- open TARMACdrivers.txt in notepad, and Save As drivers.txt).

 

The edits you suggest there look fine to me- it doesn't matter what you put on any line starting with ; because these are just comment lines. It would be a good idea to do it, though, as then you will know for sure which file you are reading.

 

I could probably write up a shortcut that will ask you Tarmac or Shale, and then run Brisca Heat.
