Cunny78 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 I use my ps2 pad, hasnt let me down yet, it's all down to what you prefer.
COURTY 334 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 I use keyboard and is fine here, you get used to them and once you start making setups it isnt worth changing them all to suit a pad or wheel after using the keyboard for so long so...
prydie#9 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 ask fritz215 about whats better joypad wheel keyboard
Dazza#289 Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 PS2 pad how can you use one of them Is there a connecter in the PC somewhere

Badura_Racing258 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Nah, ya just plug it in the back of the speaker on in a USB port as all pads I use a ps2 pad with an adaptor
big al 515 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Steering wheels are great fun and very realistic.....errr or rather I thought they were, but Crasher says they are nothing like the real thing, and he should know because he used to drive an F1 stcokcar all over the track, literally. Still the best option in my book.

Kev152 Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I use keys...I always have done since I got the game, or since I first got destruction derby for the PC, and the default keys...Got used to them on that game, so brought it over to Heat...Works a treat ish... Tried changing to PS2 pad, and Wheel, but couldn't get used to them after using keys for so long...
Insane Mike Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Ps2 Joypad here, but it's just a preferance thing and what i'm used to.
Munster Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 I use a pad, Logitech Wingman Rumble Pad....it's a good pad lasted well even when thrown against the wall it still comes back for more, about three years it's lasted. Also got an adapter to use the ps2 pad but seems less sensitive than the other one I have, but maybe just needs to be setup better than it is at the moment... Munster.

Tried changing to PS2 pad, and Wheel, but couldn't get used to them after using keys for so long... Same here, i still play Destruction Derby 2 on PC, a timeless master piece when it came out i was young at the time and it was the first racer i had on PC, so i got used to the default keys using A to accelerate and Z to brake and arrow keys to steer, i still haven’t come across another game that uses the same so i have to change them all to what i grew up with Its better than only using the arrow keys plus it means you don't get RSI so bad in one hand
Fozzer Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 DFP wheel is the way to go, ta to Hooty for help in sorting out the settings
