I have a problem with my sound!

The music in UK-dirt games goes way too fast!

Also the engine sound is not very good! Also too fast!

Help please!

I know it doesn't help you but I currently have exactly the same problems. The in game music has played up for a long while but recently the engine sound has decided to play up.

As far as I know I have not changed anything but would be glad if someone has a cure.

I also have the problem to at times, stopped using mod launcher ages ago... and it got a whole lot better... and have found, not a cure, but if you exit game and restart it, poss 3 or 4 times, it then loads up ok,

I used to get the same problem on my old computer, it was due to my motherboards sound driver, I just updated the driver after each format and it was fine every time.

Munster.

I would get it randomly when I had a Soundblaster Live sound card, and restarting several times *usually* cured it, sometimes a reboot was necessary. No drivers ever cured it on that card.

Haven't had any trouble with the Audigy2 card since.

I got rid of the Mod launcher and it has been fine since. I still get the occasional music probs when I enter a mod but at least the engine sound is now sweet.

Thanks for the advice.

Maybe it depends which of the two executables you run?

Either nheat.exe or 'nascar heat.exe' both seem to load the game fine, I never did figure out why there's two... Or I forgot :D
