It's amazing how when these games were the newest thing out they were the nuts, but when you look back at them now the graphics, sounds and game play were just terrible! I used to spend every day after school round my grandads house playing his amstrad computer, a few great games he had on there but i cant remember what they were called

You dont really race in your overalls and helmet, even a kneckbrace surely? Although i bet it makes it feel a little mroe realistic. The perfect setup? Scrapmans wheel and pedals with a racing seat, harness and JK's overalls and helmet and we're getting there slowly lmao

Spot on with that Johno, i dont have the best car control in the world so i very rarely look at the position board in the bottom right and it was until i got back past you i realised i was a lap up. Even so you only pushed me slightly wide, jsut enough to get through so ive got no problems with it at all. As to the rest of the meeting i quite enjoyed it even though i dont like NIR at the best of times. Couple of good things to come out of it though i think i have improved the way my wheel is setup a little as in a couple of the races i found my lap tiems to be alot more consitent than usual, well until i loaded the wrong setup in the final i think it was and couldnt keep the back end straight lol. Also found my new chassis for the up comming season, having recently switched to using the incar view and my old smith car not having a nice one i needed to change. Well dont to TomD on a good performance and Walker for the final. Shame about your warp in the first couple Matty, it certainly was hard to try and not get tangled with your car lol! Thought i was going to end up facing the wrong way as it kept going back n forth passed me I like the new starting procedure, before i noticed more often than not that by the first or second corner once the race had gone 'live' i had a blue welde to my rear bumper but with the slightly bigger gap it gave those few bends longer to get settled in and to find a little space before getting put up the fence lol. Finally as i wont be around tomorow, Cheers to Johno for the meeting and the winter series aswell as all the other people who have helped along the way

Didnt buy the new card in the end as i couldnt really afford it, now xmas is gone and i've got a little bit of money saved im going to buy one, only problem is overclockers are no longer doing the 880gt that hutch recomended so would this card be suitible. Byt that i mean is it as powerful, is it compatible and most importantly will it play the games i want... Got this after much thought and checking... On the ATI site it says my graphics card can handle dx level 9, yet when i go to laod the game i get this message "DD3D50 Fatal error" I found this, which is what the error relates to "D3D Error - DirectX 9 video card required" Whats going on

Cheers for the explanation Johno, and now you have exaplained everything it doesent seem as bad as the impression I was under from my understanding of the events in the news letter, so not only a thankyou but also an apology. Heres to a good new season

There are some meetings being held which are 'Double headers' across wednesday and thursday. Currently and i really wish this situation will change in time but i cannot be online both wednesday and thursday, i have to choose one or the other. Therefore if i choose to race wednesday and i quialify for the final on thursday then i will not be able ot race it. However if i irace jsut thursday the chances are i wont score enough points to make the final for the thursday due to everyone else scoring extra points on the wednesday. Therefore it makes it rather pointless racing on either day other than just racing for racing's sake. Hope that makes it a bit clearer? And i know that not everyone can have it their own way and get what they want ect, but i did suggest it in the thread after it happened with the eruo's last season and i thought it was greeted with a positive response. Just seems such a shame to have to miss out on meetings that otherwise i would have the chance to qualify for the main even so to speak, but be left without a choice due to circumstances. I havent worded that very well and it doesent reflect what im trying to say very well either, but im not the best at explaining.

Very informative letter and well presented. However i am very very disapointed to see that the double formats are going to take place on a more regualr basis through the season. Once again there will be no reason to race for those weeks when you can only do one or the other leaving no chance of getting into the final.
