  1. yeah you're right mate 3ds2mod only appears to convert 1 damage layer (or certainly if you're using 3dsmax7 or above) I found 3dsmax3 here (it will expire after 30days) I spent ages looking for this and its only a trial, but it should cure the converting 3ds to Mod problems! Extract it using the folder names, to C:\3DSMAX3 Then run 3dsmax.exe
  2. cheers krew thanks for your efforts i'll use quite a few pics altogether to get an accurate model
  3. thanks john, but I already had that one its the only one I could find, but as you say, the lines aren't very clear because its a drawing, not a photo i'll ask fbf Cheers Pazza
  4. cheers mate
  5. yep cheers haadee still need side pic but all pics are appreciated
  6. I've just started modelling a Wolzy 1500 or Riley 1.5, but I haven't got many pics of them. Has anyone got any square-on side pics? If so please post them up. Road going or racing - doesn't matter. Cheers Pazza
  7. I find Compacta Blk BT is good, especially the italics
  8. i think the brisca f1 and brisca f2 is on channel 5 again, on 30th may i didn't think much of the bbc news report: it was too short, but at least its on tv channel 5 series is better
  9. You could try it yourself at Incarace here See if you like it! My dad did it and it was very fun, so this summer, my dad and brother are trying the starlets
  10. That's amazing chevy Its nice to see that there is interest in them I'm not sure when it will be finished Thanks for all the compliments! Pazza
  11. Have a look here
  12. Click on the UVW mapping thing on the right hand side Then go the bit lower down on the right hand side (Parameters) and tick planar click X a little lower down If this is the wrong plane, try Y, and if not try Z Decide which is the correct plane Then click fit and then click on Unwrap UVW and edit Fit the vertices to the template When you're happy, right click on the Unwrap UVW and click Collapse To This means you can map the model without detaching separate bits, and retaining the mapping Hope this helps Pazza
  13. I think they do They race them at: Mendips, Standlake, Rockingham, Warneton, Skegness, Angmering, Great Yarmouth, Grimley, Lydden Hill, and Mallory Park
  14. My latest project is a Baby Grand. They run on a motorbike engine. I don't know how common they are around the country, but they race at some short ovals, eg. Bristol UK. I was thinking when I've finished it (will be a while yet) there could be a new league and mod for this formula (depending on interest levels). Btw if anyone has any information on how I can get a copy of 3dsmax3, please give me a PM or E-mail. 3dsmax3 would be useful so I can get it in the game. A trial would do (I've tried eBay and Google and Autodesk/Discreet). [attachmentid=15517] Cheers Pazza

I put a tutorial for converting 3ds to Mod using 3ds2mod exe on My Webpage Only problem is, I found 3ds2mod will only convert one object in the scene, so not a banger with full damage layers Apologies My website seems to be down atm
  17. don't think that's right i have pro desktop 8 coz its the CAD programme we use in school you can do renders, but its not compatible with UkDirt needs so far as I'm aware. Excellent CAD programme though This is what I made with it...
  18. Wheel position and wheel width and tyre diameter only i think nothing to do with the model in the physics though
  19. i'm no expert but i don't think that's possible. Wheels can be changed, but not part of the model the only way to do it would be to have different shaped fins on the model. this would need many different Car files for the same car it might become confusing nice idea though
  20. that looks like one amazing meeting people travelling a long way to get there not me, i'm afraid, but i did make a detour to cowdie whilst holidaying in scotland a couple of years ago i remember a 10 year old kid who was in the grandstand, pretending to be the starter man - with all his flags etc epic atmosphere
  21. Let's hope so, coz they're RWD...oversteer lives on
  22. these two are probably the closest

looks good i was wondering when one of these would be made one possible improvement would be making the side of the car more rounded, coz mondeo's are really round. it might be a bit too late to change that now though apart from that, its excellent
