Bookings are now open for round 1 on the website

The default is not to far off at most places now TBH. You have to remember the two quickest cars in practice struggled in the final, so having something consistent and good in traffic is more important than 1 lap pace

First off thanks to everyone who raced tonight, I thought it was a cracking meeting and 99% of the driving was impeccable which is the one thing we cannot control. There seemed to be a good amount of banter in chat as well which is always nice to see and we hope to see most of you back during the regular season. Bookings will stay open until 7 PM -
Hello and welcome to the second annual UKDirt open The format for tonight will be as follows. Each driver will get three heats, the points from these heats will form two semi-final grids with the highest scorer on pole for semi final one second highest pole for semi final two and so on. The results of the semi finals will decide the 24 car grid for the final, with the winner of semi final one on pole and the winner of semi final two on the outside of the front row and so on. We will run a B final for the remaining drivers so each driver is guaranteed 5 races during the meeting. The full UKDirt and UKDirt F2 rules can be found on the website and we expect all drivers to know them. In addition to the rules listed on the website the following rules will be enforced tonight, we have a lot of races to run and will have a zero tolerance policy adopted for the evening so you have been warned. 1.) Obey instructions If you are asked to do something during a meeting by either the Race Manager, Meeting steward, or any other admin member please do so. If you do not agree with decisions made there is a complaints process that you can pursue after the meeting but during the meeting is not the time to do so. Anyone who is judged to be disrupting a meeting will be loaded up for the remaining races and may face a longer ban if the admin team deem this necessary. 2.) Arguing with other drivers If a driver has done something during a meeting that you do not agree with there is a full complaints process that you can pursue after a meeting. However arguing in the server is not the way to start this and will not be tolerated. If you are adjudged to be disrupting the meeting you will be given one warning before being loaded up for the remaining races and may face a longer ban if the admin team deem this necessary. 3.) Rejoining the track. If you have spun for any reason during a race you must use caution when rejoining the racing line by doing the following. A.) Make sure you have buttons mapped to look left and right so you can see oncoming traffic. B.) Make sure you have your mirrors turned on in game so you can see behind you if you end up nosed up to the fence. C.) Keep your foot on the brake when you are stationary so the car does not roll forwards or backwards in to oncoming traffic. D.) Do not move until you are sure there is enough of a gap in the oncoming traffic for you to rejoin without making contact 4.) Damage. If you car has damage you may continue racing until one of the following occurs. A.) You lose 1 or more wheels B.) You have 1 or more punctures that cause your car to behave erratically, or to be out of control. If either of these situations occur you are to park your car around the circuit away from the racing line, where it will not cause an obstruction. 5.) Lining up to race. During a meeting you are expected to start at least one race at the front of your grade, one in the middle and one at the back. Any driver found to be lining up at the front of their grade in each race will be put to the back of the grid. 6.) Stationary cars If a car is stationary on the track then you are not to deviate course to make contact with it on purpose, if you do so there is a good chance you will bounce off and in to other cars disrupting there race. For tonight's meeting you will be requires to use UKDirt chat, this can be found HERE If you have any issues installing the program please let one of the admin team know. The race order is listed below, please check you are in three heats and that you are not in clashing races heats IE 1&2 3&4 ETC

Thanks guys I look after the F2 Ben Fund and I picked up this information from another forum. Every penny raised is gladly received to help the F2 Ben Fund, if it wasn't for this fund some of our drivers may not make it back on track because of there injuries. We don't pay out millions but we try to do our best to help them financially. No problems Sharon, Si can't speak to highly enough of the fund and we want to do whatever we can -
I will try and be there for some of the Sunday fun

UKSOM are proud to release version 3.1 of the F2 Stockcar Mod. The change log is listed below, and although the list is probably the smallest ever we believe the changes are some of the most significant we have ever made. Our focus for 2012 was correcting some of the physics flaws, while making the physics more accessible to all skill levels. SETUPS Shale Physics have not changed so your old set-ups will work fine. Your 2011 set-ups should be a good starting point, however you may need to adjust the ride heights as the minimum values have been changed and your brakes balance will probably also need to be changed. If you are struggling to adapt your old set-ups we have included a new default set-up that is not only easy to drive but should be no more than a tenth of the pace at most circuits. We hope you enjoy, and thank you to everyone who has contributed. UKSOM ====================================================================== ========= F2 Stockcars V3.1 by UKSOM ====================================================================== ========= Thank you for downloading F2 Stockcars V3.1 for rFactor. *IMPORTANT* This is a stand alone version of the mod, no previous versions are required Double click the installer and point it at your rFactor directory (It is defaulted to C:/Program Files/rFactor , if you have rFactor installed to an alternative location please redirect to the right location) == IMPORTANT NOTE == If you are updating from v3.0, Please go to your rFactor/UserData/"Your Player Name"/ folder and the delete the files called F2Stockcars.cch and F2Stockcars_league.cch This is very important and will prevent any errors after installation. ====================================================================== ======================================== Inclusion of new upgrades: Superstar Lights available on all cars. Error Corrected in the way the sidewall stiffness is calculated, that allowed higher tyre pressures to be quicker in some instances. Minimum ride height raised to 3”. Overall suspension travel increased to stop the car falling on the bumpstops. Damper ranges updated to reflect more realistic values. Increased front lateral grip gain and optimum camber angle. Increased grip when the tyre is under temperature. Error found in the way rFactor works when lock diffs are selected. Workaround implemented to make them react closer to real life.(Tarmac only) Default setup updated. ====================================================================== ========== PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY PREVIOUS TEST VERSION YOU WILL NEED TO DELETE YOU F2 STOCKCAR VEHICLE FOLDER Download is available HERE
