  1. Want to have a copy of what I have? Send me a PM and I can forward on to you the pdf / decal.
  2. It is not a font, it is the actual name on Scott Davids car cut out and used as a decal ...
  3. Just updated on the RFC using the fcs/fcst templates ... This should look a lot closer to the real life 462 car. You will need to remove the old install and use this new install. It installs into the standard 'Shale/Tarmac' directories and creates its own subdirectories again. [attachmentid=22049]
  4. It is not possible to close the pitgate at Birmingham.
  5. Yes you can ... We use them online as well .... These are the additional tracks I have installed specifically for the F1 mod. GRC Raceway Park Wedgeway Aotearoa International Speedway Fourwinds
  6. Fourwinds-156 booking in please.
  7. Exactly
  8. I think the graphics card used is a big factor ... I recently went from a 7800GT to the new 8800GT and my framerates went from: 800x600 (low settings) averaging around 40 fps 1680x1050 (high settings) staying mostly around 60fps This is on a system that has: AMD X2 4400+ (939 pin) 2Gb RAM
  9. I'm going to Hednesford this weekend for a big banger meet (Civil War) ... So if you don't get any responses by the end of the week , tell me what you need and I will go around and try to take some pictures for you
  10. NZ10 for me please.
  11. I am an impatient man I wanted to race 462 in SNT , so had to work with what I had ... I will look at the chassis released in the full mod and then update the skin to work with the best that is there and re-release .... Fourwinds
  12. I have just uploaded to RFC the version of Scott Davids 2007, tar and shale (white and yellow) car. If you use just the main 'rFactor' directory, it makes all the rest below it that it needs to. I hope to race this in SNT Let me know what you think of it. 13. The wet track was MUCH fun ... I really enjoyed that ...
  14. A very valid point, and I think it's important to stress that if anybody thinks their vote could be swayed either way when they get their hands on the full version, should wait for the full version to be released before they vote..... there's plenty of time. And the good news is that the full version of the mod should be out sometime next week Any chance of the photoshop layered files for us to work on alternate car chassis paint schemes MoR? Or will they be delivered with the full mod? I can't wait for the full version
  15. This Thread has a link to the tracks that have been used in the Autumn series.

  17. I think having the right mentality and respect for other drivers is the key here ... IF you know that you are not the quickest out there and you know you are a lap down, key 1 eye on your mirror (Yes it is difficult) and if the faster drivers are coming to pass you .... Move out of the way .... Let them through if you can and then carry on racing ... If you follow their lines, you find out a quicker way around the circuit! You might even find you quickest lap is actually when you are following these guys! I got the points in the final and GN just by being able to keep the car pointing in the right direction and trying to avoid the carnage. I know it was not on pure speed or lap times ... Just not getting into the wrong place too often.
  18. I agree ... people have to respect the other drivers on the track so that we can all have fun racing ... There are times when a larger than normal hit is expected (like in the major championships) but in normal meeting racing we need to have respect. I think the fact that damage is not carried over from race to race and there is not the cost of repairing the cars means people can do things that would not happen in real life. I try and race more like real life and get my car to the finish with minimum damage ... It may not be the quickest way through a wreck by trying to find the gaps not not just bulldozer through, but that is how I like to race. I am sure that rFactor racing can be a respect driven community in time as long as we are consistant with the rules and apply them to over the top driving. Putting the foot down hard from day one will mean that everyone knows where they stand and that being a fool is not tolerated. With regards to handling ... I had real problems with BV last Tuesday when I raced it but tonight with a modified setup and a different mental approach (Braking a lot earlier to make sure I finished) I pulled off my highest placed finish. Thanks to Mr Beef, Drumstick and Dubstar for the encouragement to actually attend tonight.

  21. There is a little bit of dummy spitting, but it appears that most of the rFactor users are learning that you can't just full out hit someone (heat style) as that wrecks it for both of you ... As the cars are slightly more fragile, it means more people are out there racing not just following in.
  22. Yea these were posted before the latest patch, revised table below added KR3W as it seems popular and still just a rough average race lap time. Belle Vue: 13.8 Birmingham: 13.7 Ips Shale: 15.4 Ips Tarmac: 14.7 Sexberium: 13.9 KR3W 12.8 These are average race times ... for offline / online practicing what would you deduct to see if you are competitive ... .5 second?
  23. You should end up with /GameData/Locations/Wedgeway/sky.mas wedgeway.mas wedgewaymaps.mas /GameData/Locations/Wedgeway/Wedgeway/wedgeway.000 Wedgeway.AIW Wedgeway.cam Wedgeway.gdb Wedgeway.scn Wedgeway.tdf Wedgeway_Loading.jpg It can be started from the locations of 'Wedgeway/Wedgeway' not under the normal 'UK Short Ovals'
