Yea these were posted before the latest patch, revised table below added KR3W as it seems popular and still just a rough average race lap time. Belle Vue: 13.8 Birmingham: 13.7 Ips Shale: 15.4 Ips Tarmac: 14.7 Sexberium: 13.9 KR3W 12.8 Just on a note on the realism factor, is it a concern that rFactor lap times are so much faster than real life fast laps? Real life fast lap times are: Belle Vue: 15.484 (Set by 515 Junior Wainman) Birmingham: 15.162 (Set by 391 Andrew Smith) I can't find anything for Ipswich F1's but you can see from that rFactor F1's seem to be 2 seconds quicker than the real thing? It would be nice to do that as long as the gameplay is not affected ...

From the Kr3w meeting we had at the KR3W Raceway, the fastest laps were held mostly by Hutch at around 12.7 there were a few people in the 12.8's ... I was out at around 13.1 best lap ... :-) Fourwinds ...

The way around it is to rename the replay away from the track name and it will not overwrite it or at least it has not for me so far ...

This is the point of the thread ... We don't really want just a handed out 'perfect' setup as everyone drives differently ... I have setups for one track from both Hutch and Drumb that are completely different in terms of how the car is setup but they both perform similar lap times around that circuit. Understanding more about why / how you would change a car to set it up at a track you have never been to is important ... How far the back end of the car steps out when you go around the corner is a personal choice and affects the speed of the car ... but if you don't know how to change the setup of the car to get that backend either further out or closer in you are at the mercy of begging a setup for every new track you go to and hoping it is for a similar driving style to yours.

Thanks for the article .. A very good read and tells me a lot more about why F1s now hit the way they do ... I missed the change over of Chassis specs.

Just downloaded and watched this from one of the bend cameras and it looks very much better than my final video ... Lets hope the option change makes the difference and this copy is good enough for Splinter I like watching the vids

Mine was set to 16 and I saw some warp ... I have just upped it to 40 (more than enough) and I will see how the next set of replays go.
