  3. Meeting Info: UK Grand Prix - Coventry (20th Feb)

    Evening all,

    Welcome to the final NZ Meeting of the season, the UK Grand Prix from Coventry! Its been a great season and we hope to round it out with a one off crash up!

     

    There are 19 cars booked in for tonight

    You must be in Discord at 8.20pm!

    The grid draw will then take place, if you are not around for this you will start last for all heats!

    Heats 1 to 5 - 15 laps

    UK Grand Prix *grid based on heat points as usual - 25 laps

    Survivor - 20 laps

    Demolition Derby

     

    Please be aware of the following new rules for this season:

    You cannot come to a complete stop to wait for any driver, however you may drive around slowly

    Blocking & Pinning is BANNED in all races apart from the Survivor, however lap down hits are allowed

    Blocking includes slowing down to side swipe cars!

    The rest of the rules are on the forum, which must be read before the meeting!

    Evening all,

    Welcome to the penultimate NZ Meeting of the season, the final meeting from New Zealand, the final points scoring round towards the National Points Championship and the Champion of Champions at Bay Park!

     

    Champion of Champions:
    Qualification: World 240 Champion, any Final winner from the season, any Survivor winner from the season

    Championship: Standalone race at the end of the meeting, random grid order, 3 cars wide, ran over 20 laps.

    A dissapointing 14 cars for tonight, but we can't complain the numbers have been brilliant all season,

    Evening all,

    Welcome to the 9th NZ Meeting of the season, the World 240's at Rotorua!

     

    World 240:
    Qualification: Top 30 in the National Points standings booked in to race (anyone not raced before, will not be allowed to race the world 240 heats, but will do for the normal meeting that follows)

    Championship: The World 240 is ran over 3 heats at the start of the specified World 240 meeting. Each heat is gridded as per a usual heat, with everyone getting an equal spread, the winner is the car with the most points after the 3 heats! (15 laps each), a normal meeting will then follow!

    Meeting Preview

    Last year it was Mike that took the win, and with him not eligible this year, who will take the crown? The World 240 only has a single two time champion in DanSkin. The title has never successfully been defended in it's history. LeeK, Kane and Jack Ward all have a chance at joining DanSkin as 2x winners. With the championship raced over 3 equally gridded heat races, the driver with the most points wins meaning nobody has an advantage from the start! Looking down this years points chart there are around 15 drivers that have the pace to win, but with contact a factor, its anyone's game! A normal meeting of 5 heats, final and survivor will follow with the final and survivor the last chances to grab a spot in the 13th Feb Champion of Champions race!

  21. Bookings: Teams Championship - Palmerston North (30th Jan)

    NZ Teams Championship 2020: Bookings

     

    Teams are to be made up of 4 members, ALL 4 MEMBERS MUST BE NOMINATED WHEN BOOKING IN STATING WHICH TEAM YOU WANT. Teams will be given on a first come first served basis. If you do not nominate 4 members initially, it will not be accepted.

    Bookings are limited to 6 teams so book in early to avoid disappointment!

     

    NOTE: Priority will be given to teams previously entered in past events, We reserve the right to alter team allocations at any time.

     

    There is a separate thread up for drivers who are looking for a team and for teams looking for drivers. Look HERE

     

    Every team will race each other once in the heats over 10 laps, then Semi-Finals (10 laps) and Final will be 15 laps.

    There will also be a end of meeting Teams Revenge race, which will include all teams in a Survivor rules, 20 lap race. First across the line or still running the winner

     

    Heat Points:

     

    1st - 10

    2nd - 5

    3rd - 3

    4th - 1

     

    Finals: 1st car across the line is the winner for their team.

     

    Semi Final 1: 1st vs 4th

    Semi Final 2: 2nd vs 3rd

    Grand Final:

    NZ TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS TONIGHT!

     

    The big team meeting is upon us. 5 teams are currently booked and ready to battle.

     

    Current Team Champions, the Nelson Tigers, are looking to make it a Champs Double with 2 new recruits for this year in @Ashley England and @Jack Ward, they line up alongside the usual @Tom Drabble and @Kane238.

     

    SIX TIME Champions, the Rotorua Rebels will be looking to get revenge on the Tigers and get their names back on the trophy. The usual line-up of @tsjalle129, @Marten291 and @Frans454 are joined by @durkH29 in 2020.

     

    They are the more experienced teams for tonight’s meeting. The Christchurch Glen Eagles are next up with @Harry Graham - 777, @Tom Davison, @Tosh and @Skint 145 in the team, they are looking strong to cause an upset.

     

    Next up is the GB Lions team consisting of real life BriSCA F2 drivers Charlie Guinchard and Luke Beeson is joined by Charlie Boast and Jouke!

     

    The last team booked as of 6pm on race day is the Palmerston North Panthers. @Ellis and @burnsy_299 have 2 new drivers this time around in @Jake691 and @brad468 as they look to become Team Champions on their Champs debut.
