Merge all of the body panel layers in photoshop, desaturate them. Create a new blank layer. Change the layer type to an overlay. Start painting on the overlay any colour you wish and the lines should stay on the car. Merge all signs onto the overlay at the end to have all the signs showing the lines through. cheers sparky

Try right clicking the icon, go to properties, then to shortcut. Click on change icon, go and find the ukdirt icon. Click ok and then apply and it should work. If not, then i am sorry but I cannot help. cheers sparky

Meeting was a bit of a damp squib last night, the rain kinda ruined it. Annoying to see the rodder brothers victorious once again. Maybe a switch to the world of saloon stock cars would suit their racing better. Roll on F1 Scottish Weekend now. cheers sparky

Keep on diggin lol, anybody know of any traffic problems on route to cowdie at all. Just heard on radio that Livingston FC Teambus were held up for 2 hours on route to dunfermline and have only just arrived now. cheers sparky

I tend to select the faces to map in perspective mode as it allows you to move the view around while doing it. Select faces mode. select the faces you would like to map, ie, a side or front or top etc. Click M to select the template you are going to map the car to. once you have done that. click on the drop down menu that should say 'modifier list' and scroll down to UVW MAP. click that and then select the axis to fit the material on, once you have done that. click on the scroll down menu again. This time select UNWRAP UVW. and then click edit and you can modify the shape of the bits to make them fit on the template properly. On no circumstances though do you move single vertices, only move the whole thing and manipulate it as a whole, but if you're template is good you should not have to. Hope this helps. cheers sparky

I realise he does have a point but all of those things, you can't really count the wanting to race a prostock as I am still wanting to do that, just going to leanr how to drive first though lol I have made a very slight start on coventry, seems a bit strange at the moment but in time it shall get a bit better. cheers sparky

There is no psd format template, it has and probs always will be a tga. cheers sparky

you will have to create you're own ai. set them to about 100 I think. Do they drive ok, like an f1 stock car if you know what I mean. Hot rods or 1300 stocks, no plans for any of them in the near future. cheers sparky

Here is the beta pack for you all to test, I have included all my WIP tracks that are in my tracks folder at the moment. Kings Lynn is not finished, nor is Skegness, Coventry I shall make a start on today with the track layout and kerbs. cheers sparky ps. Dragon i would be able to finish and release my saloon model if I had max 3, I have max 7 which enables me to do renders and map but the final export is impossible as max 7 is not compatible with heat. generallystockcarbeta1.zip

The typical moany crew have hijacked the thread already. hmmm, so sad that these people have never done anything like this themselves but yet criticise others for trying. I will spend some time finishing Kings Lynn when I get home, no hmap as of yet as I am short on time, I will do a basic coventry when I get home aswell. cheers sparky

Start markers are like objects, you must have objects selected and then make sure 'start' is in the drop down box and then click somewhere and the starts move, I will be doing coventry next lads, but not until I have finished Skeggy and Kings Lynn lol, which is the tyres that are proving difficult. cheers sparky
