  1. That's because it is just regarded as accepted these days.. It has always been in the rules, the attatchemt is scanned in directly from the gmp banger rules.. It's all fine and well saying it always happens but when someone gets hurt and it's in writing as an illegal move then what defence has the driver got? cheers sparky
  2. 68, the one and only Harry Burgoyne and now my racing number in the gmp Prostox.. cheers sparky
  3. Read the banger rules. Follow ins are not allowed.. Dangerous and if someone gets seriously hurt in a follow in then I wouldn't like to be the driver doing the pushing. When you follow a car into the wall you are not just trying to put in a good hit, you are trying to hurt someone, I believe they are not what bangers are all about.. cheers sparky
  4. That looks absolutely amazing.. Think I've just lol. Keep up the cracking work MOR, any chance of that as a desktop size image as I could stare at that all day at work cheers sparky
  5. Was more wondering what the Engine size limit is... cheers sparky
  6. When are you out young 'un? I might come up to watch and see how you get on. What is the rules on what cars you can use up there. Quite fancy a banger myself to be honest.. cheers sparky
  7. Some of you may have noticed that I made my racing debut on Saturday. My first race never went too well, only lasted one and a half laps then I over-corrected in a spin and went up and round the pit bend wall and broke the left front strut. Second race I managed to finish albeit a few laps down. Was a great feeling to finally be out there, hopefully we'll be a bit more on the pace next time.. Pic courtesy of www.scotstox.cjb.net
  8. I reckon it's a mapping problem. Looks like you have forgotten to mirror the parts when you are editing the mapping. So I suggest flipping everything round, making sure it's all ok in renders etc first.. cheers sparky
  9. I'll be there as always. I'm sure if I'm unfortunate enough Allan and Hack will point me out to you lot... cheers sparky
  10. As far as I know erik in bangers you aren't allowed fuel injected cars, must use a purpose built 1/2 gallon petrol tank and use a metal fuel pipe with a small section at either end that is flexible to fit where it needs to. To take out a banger with a road fuel tank in is ridiculous. That fire is the reason you take it out, wether it is in front of the rear axle or not it will still bend and break in a hit cheers sparky ps. you are allowed to use a car that is fuel injected but must be converted to a regular carb
  11. well the whole dash should be removed, I mean everything. My car has absolutely everything removed from the inside apart from the drivers seat . cheers sparky
  12. The driver may have got out unhurt but was lucky he was not caught in the fire. The fact that it went on fire like it did is alone bad built as even when it is squashed as it is, there have been many national/2ltr etc bangers squashed ALOT more than that and still survived better so that alone to me says bad build. You said it yourself, you will take the dash out for safety. That is exactly why in national spec you are not allowed to still have the dash in the car. Obviously crimond don't race to this national spec which is there for safety more than anything. cheers sparky
  13. Not true Erik. If it's a petrol leak then it's deffo a problem with the build quality. A well built car with all the right bits up to spec will not leak It's maybe time crimond got tough with their car builds, build them to proper orc/bba spec then cut out problems with bad built cars. I have even seen cars racing there with the dash still in cheers sparky
  14. A vinyl mask is basically as it says, a mask, it prevents paint going where it isn't meant to and gives you a nice straight clean line round the edge. On ebay you have a desktop plotter for around £300 . Anything less than that is a bargain, the one I use in work is a 1.2m x 1.2m cutting area, worth about 15k so their not cheap toys. For the outlines you can either use a 'pinstripe brush' which you can order in from the states, or you can make another vinyl mask to cover the area's that shouldn't be painted again and cpray it on, I used the second option and I am extremely pleased how it turned out. I have never tried anything on an actual car yet as everything of mine has been flat panels but we'll see how it goes when I get my prostock ready. cheers sparky
  15. I can't teach you, it's all about the masking in my opinion. I made my masking out of vinyl at work and used the font 'padaloma' for the text. I used enamel paint which you can buy from B&Q or any other diy store and masked the panel off, then sprayed the paint on, lighter colour first. Let it dry then peel you're mask off and it should look pretty good. cheers sparky
  16. signwriting can be a combination of vinyl and airbrush. Can also be done quickly with spraycans if you have the right masking. Here is an example of my signwriting skills using an aerosol can of enamel paint and good vinyl masks... cheers sparky
  17. try pressing enter and clicking left then enter etc, it might have opened up a popup behind the screen and u need to click it for the track to fully load. This sometimes happens to me and a quick click and directionals to find it does the trick. cheers sparky
  18. I wanted to ask the exact same think Rikard apart from I was holding off in case I got a bite lol. cheers sparky
  19. Copy and paste, even a monkey knows how to do that. I am constantly finding wheels that are used in prostocks and bangers and making the template but can't put them in game. I am even trying to make sure they are lifelike in that they have alpha levels and transparency etc. cheers sparky
  20. That shiny problem comes from z-mod if I remember correctly... I was told how to stop it but forgotten now, I'll try and find out for you and get back to you if you do use z-mod. If not then I dunno what's up? cheers sparky
  21. They are superb Erik, cheers. Also I have another set of Vauxhall alloy rims... Any takers?? Same as before, has alpha channels so there are transparent spaces between the spoke as in rl. /a at end of you're line to convert to make alpha's work... cheers sparky cavalloy.zip
  22. Hi mate, any chance you could put these in game for me, cheers in advance, they have an alpha texture though so when you convert to tex you will need to put pro5spoke1.tga pro5spoke1.ex /a the key is the /a bit as that makes it transparent where it is meant to be. Cheers in advance. sparky pro5spoke.zip
  23. are you bigmaus in disguise
