  1. Yep, Francois and one day you'll win the Sissystox World Final. I guess you don't even know what a real stock car track looks like. Venray better, hopefully they will get their scrutineering right next time they've got a big meeting coming up. Rant over, Edman.
  2. I'll be there with the family. Edman.
  3. A bit late but happy birthday to both of you. Edman.
  4. Happy birthday big man. Haha 46, you old git, which reminds me, I still have to try and reach 46. Get your bum out to a meeting this year. Try Posterholt because I doubt I'll be going to Venray this year. Glad I live a bit more to the north so I can't smell MC. Cheers, Edman.
  5. All you need is just a little patience. Cheers, Edman.
  6. Sure the promoters don't work together, ever tried to get them to co-operate, I did. Even when we were trying to set up a drivers commitee for the F2, there was misunderstanding. Psycko, Venray also does the three heat thing without a final, bar the F1's that is. The Tooz race 3 heats and a so called final, but the 5 top point scorers of the day receive the trophies. It's not entirely true the English promoters work together, although they seem to be making more effort to do so than over here on the Continent. Also the Tooz and the Saloons are bringing the people into Posterholt and yes there would be a lot more cars present if it wasn't for politics. Mind you thet 25 F2's or Saloons at Posterholt would make for the best racing on the continent. We could talk about the safety issue for weeks. I once completely slagged someone off who made a comment on the safety at Posterholt on local tv. It's true, a catchfence will be an addition to safety, certainly for loose objects. O and one of the promoters has already gone bad with me, if you like to call it that way, shame it's the biggest of the three dutch promoters and I'm getting a lot of stick from ignorant dutch fans. I've given up on the promoters over here co-operating and I'm talking about the three dutch promoters. The Belgian promoter has got his act together and is doing perfectly allright without the other three. Cheers, Edman.
  7. Yep, guess there's something wrong with that darn transponder again. Had a look at some other races and speeds are lower there. It still says 126 km/h as beste snelheid though. maybe I misread it but it doe'sn't say average speed. If it's true what you say that the speeds at Venray are 140 km/h than something should be done very quickly now. Cheers, Edman.
  8. Psycko, I was at Ipswich in 1984 and they were definately called Superstocks instead of F2's. Edman.
  9. Psycko, Ipswich is a Spudworth track, they don't race F2's. Think the fastest F2 track will be Hednesford but I doubt it's faster than Venray. Just take a look at the my laps website and you'll be able to check out the speeds. Note that the 126 km/h was not an average speed but a highest speed. Still this is too fast. O, and what's wrong with the very small tracks, I used to love Tilburg, it was small and you didn't need 25 cars out on track to get a good race. H33, maybe you guys should sign up with CAMSO for their alternative F1 stox, just to put pressure on Maessen. Remember, if he goes long track racing, there will prolly be 1 or 2 drivers left capable of winning, the rest will quit or go race at Lelystad. I'm thinking of doing more dirt meetings next year, usually cheaper entrance price and more action. The EZHACO tracks are not that far away and I enjoyed my first meeting there. Cheers, Edman.
  10. Mark, the straights are so wide, 5 or 6 F1's are able to race side by side, if you reduce them to half, cars will not be able to use as much track as they are now, so the ideal line will be completely different, sure you also have to alter the corners, but let's put the top speed down first. I mean, I've seen a top speed of 126 km/h from one of the F2 boys and that's rediculous. As I said, the changes made have made the track even faster. I really hope they're going to do something to bring the speeds down, but I doubt they will. If they widen turns 1 and 2 like they did to turns 3 and 4 the racing will very soon be as boring as the racing at Lelystad. Maybe build a smaller track with a pos and wire fence?? Cheers, Edman.
  11. Why make Venray, it's too fast and there's not enough contact. The Tooz are screaming their heads off after the changes made prior to the September meeting. Gee, there are no diffs available to run the Tooz properly on that track. And by the way, following the going ons in the papers I don't even think there will be any meetings there anymore. Majer. if you're from Maastricht, there's a track closer to you than Venray, isn't there. I'd hate to see Venray close but unless they make the straights half as wide as they are now, they will never get the speed out of the cars and will thus never get decent stock car races there. For those who say, but what about the Hotrods, well, yes, what about them. That formula has been devaluated by the drivers themselves. Useless contact is just one of the things. After dropping the Stockrods it might be an idea to drop the Hotrods and Formula Toyota too and make it all contact formula's up there. Maybe invite the dirt boys over for every meeting, so they can smoke their tyres. Cheers, Edman.
  12. Proficiat met je verjaardag, Patrick. Vooral niet naar Yorick luisteren en gewoon onbehouwen zuipen, nu kan het nog, LOL. Groetjes, edje.
  13. I've seen that laptime and it proves that changing the track this way does not have the result they'd like to have it. It's even faster now. Going by the damage on Cor's car it will be costy, but an aerofoil would have cost him quite some money too. At leats Cor walked away unharmed. Hopefully that bad luck of yours will end soon, so you can give the big boys a run for their money, you're almost there. Cheers, Edman.
