progress report, car finally having signs on went to kevs 7am thurs morn just waiting for the phone to ring to see what hes created lol, pics to follow when i get um

Enjoyed the meet tonite i usually detest shale but somethin as simple as pulling the power cable out of wheel to disable ffb and i had a great meet lol. took my chance in final at the second attempt had to go in a bit harder than i wanted to but thats racing and corny was givin it back just a s gd was great stuff.

Heres a few pics of how mine shud look when it back from signers shame there arent many sponsors on it.

ye think alot of ppl use it its something to do with the valve seats it protects them from wear from what i understand because the pinto engine was built around the time when leaded fuel was all you could buy the cvl helps to keep the valve seats in good nic think its a magnesium based additive. well summat like that ne way.

Basically just the solenoid now as far as mechanical goes but still to be signwritten and some cvl to purchase think thats about the lot oh a touch of piant on the new roof and mayb having the wing powder coated but waiting to see yet. Only thing left to buy as such to go racing other than cvl is a decent pair of roll offs.

Just a quick update on how my cars coming along. well its been a bit of a nightmare tbh we lowered the seat fittin brackets to increase headroom and all was fine untill we put the seat cover on and the foam raised it up so skid lid caught on roof plate. Not a good idea so it was deccided to cut roof out and put new cross members in to raise the roof. Thankfully all went well and theres enuf room to keep my wallet above there now. (not much room as its empty now funds quickly goin down). Got the materials from wayne helliwell and started job on weds on my day off and finished it all this afternoon. Only other thing is i noticed the clip for battery cable had come adrift so i put a new one on only to find when i moved the cable to position it the starter motor solenoid was split rite down the middle so need to fit a new one now. explains why it struggled to start. Anyway heres a few pics of whats been done.

I must admit i seemed to avoid any of the battles goin on last nite for a change the had 2 good battles with MoR in ht 3 and the final all fair and square i think 300 was part of it to made for great racing for a few laps but then a novice car got onto the back of the pack and then boom 1 hit put all 3 of us out and the car in question clipped MoR`s fornt bumper on way past and ended up spinning round on the infield so didnt see the point of going in that hot tbh. Apart from that dode gettin on chevys back all nite did my head in i no for a fact thats chevy is strugglin gettin his wheel and pedals dialled in like i did last yr and its hard to get i perfect when your newish to it especially when ur pedals arent set correct. Just my thoughts on it. Wd on final walker by the way and well run spike.

Nice 1 kruiz hopefully mine will be sorted this weekend ready for a test around blyton just to run up n get feel of car. just seat mount to alter for height n fill tank up with juice n see how it goes. Hopefully get some pics or summat on here just depends on the old man lol
