Personally what i would do is save any files you want to keep from that date foward on a usb or disc etc., then do a computer restore and go back to the day before you downloaded the minstox game. and see if banger heat works then.

Do you remmeber installing or downloading anythink added any virus programs etc, or mess about with any of heat files. did you do anythink between it working then not. ????

Here mate have a look at this thread?? http://www.ukdirtforum.com/index.php?showt...;hl=setup+guide Sure when you start racing online, other members will help you out, advice, tips etc, You might get couple of settys sent your way, , once you get 1 or 2 handed to you, you then know how the car should be set up, then you just do your own, everyone does drive slightly different so might need to tweak it if you do get one!!

On the off chance is their anythink available or might be coming up in the near future with classic hot rods heat based. cheers regards south

Why, and how, did you have the wrong car files?? Thats what i was wondering as I only joined last year, the files should all be the new ones, I downloaded everythink in the correct order, Its not like I'm trying to cheat tho boss, I always do the pracy before meet, then if i get message i always ask RM why or other drivers, then I rectify it before the meeting, normally racing without a set up! twice it happened! bristol WQR last year, leek sent me correct car file, as it was a meeting of importance dint want to get in the way or just oppo it, i was saying good bye, to a fellow racer asked why explained and he sent me a setty, so i carried on, the other time was 2litre at smallfield this year, lee sent me correct car file as it was non points i spent 5 mins doing setty just so i can get round the bends and carried on. bit long winded but does explain what Ive done but not sure why Ive got them.

i would agree. it make good practice to have it, or tho I don't think anyone on ukdirt is cheating, The two times i had it! I have had the wrong car file for the A55 and the mk5 tina, which leek and lee sent me the correct file to rectify that, but i always get one when the mk3cedric is in use, which don't look good on my part?? be good if that file could be sorted out. Don't bother me if people are cheating on any league, but does bother me when my name comes up with cheat message, as you say bob the old finger comes up or whispers start, well i say makes you feel like that is going on anyway not stating its does, makes you feel bit awkward, Id rather get bit of credit for doing half well? due to spending time making settys up!

Might be long way round but this is how i done it! right click on avg bottom right corner, right click on resident shield, open it, turn it off, then a firewall icon appears at the bottom click into that, then click on windows firewall, with the general tab open, turn firewall off! then re download mirc chat and install, go back to the tab with the windows firewall. click on that, their be a exception tab at the top go into that, go to add program scroll down to ukdirt chat add program to list, then go to windows firewall again and turn on firewall, then go into avg again and turn on resident shiled, that should do it.

CRaig I had this recently, it was AVG 2011 blocking it. I recommend checking your firewall settings. that worked for me, leech, i turned of my firewall completely, re downloaded and installed mirc chat, then put ukdirt chat as a firewall exception, turned firewall back on and all works, cheers

Ive got the same problem mate, Ive been using mine near enough week in week out and its been working as it should, then out of the blue it stopped working, I cant remember downloading any computer updates recently, so I ant got a clue, I be trying to sort it out over the next day or so, if I find a solution I let you know.

Finally got it to work on my laptop, still trying for PC. heres two I just put together to see if they worked OK. thanks tads for easy way of rendering :-)
