  1. yes there is lots going on, and we are working hard on lots of bits at the moment. bangers are taking a slight back seat atm, but rods and F1's are coming along well. we have a few cars in game, and are now working on he physics. i have been given permission to convert 5 heat rods so far from heat to rf. i aim to build totally new cars eventually, although this will take time, so i have converted at the moment to get the ball moving. we are now working mostly on a few tracks, and the physics of the cars. we have no idea as yet when a playable test version will be released, so dont even ask lol just adjusting things for the new patch atm, so ill give u some more screenies to look at hopefully soon but yes, work is going on, and yes it will take time
  2. happy birthday mate. hope ur gonna have a good time

  5. happy birthday mate, have a goodun
  6. the online play that i have experienced is perfect really. cant find fault with it, smooth, can hold upto about 50 odd people if ur server is good enough, and has nice options for adjusting the race settings. rFactor has a great detection system for checking to see if the cars being used by the people joining the server are the same as those on the server. so if anyone mods any of the car files, to increase power or whatever, then they are immediatle kicked from the server automatically. we need to do a lot more testing with the work on this type of racing, but there is certainly a lot of potential there to be used. i can testify that followins are pretty interesting too... as for mikeymoo, y did ppl ever stop communicating by papern and pen then mate? it was cheap, and was known to work. when emails came along surely it wasnt the way to go cos it would invovle everyone making a very expensive upgrade, and it wsa something very few ppl knew anything about. mate, we arent saying this will happen, we are just testing to see if it is a possibility. it might work, it might not, but trust me, there are better things coming along than heat. im not knocking heat, or the work done on it, and im currently working on a car for it myself. its just time to look at possible alternatives.
  7. well i love it even if no1 else does
  8. hope ur having a goodun mate happy birthday
  9. ok. he didnt ahve any anti virus, so he cant turn it off. the compatability is set to Win2000. the game will run ok offline, but give the above logs online. he is on 56K dial up. could that be the problem? he also wants to know if wiping his PC and reinstalling everything would help? any more ideas guys?
  10. cheers Muns, seems like it might be that. have tried all the different modes of compatability, so will now get him to try disabling his antivirus and go from there. thanks for both the replies, will keep u updated.
  11. this is posted for Aub. he has just installed rods, and had downloaded every pack. he is patched to 1.72e with the nocd patch. he receives the following error log: 51.11.936:
