  1. Thanks for that Southy!... I reckon you are all right about this, offline my times are getting more consistant and I'm much happier with how the car is handling (some times....lol). I'm on a ten year old sidewinder too mate, I first got it when the Geoff Crammond GP games started getting popular and never seen any point in changing it yet. Jon T.
  2. Thanks for that Nezza, I'm going to read through the info at the link you've posted here later. I'm already using a wheel and pedals, albeit an old set that I've had for around 10 years...haha. I'm having no trouble with the braking at all, my main problem is I can't seem to get the arse end to come out so I don't get the chance to put any opposite lock on round the bends. As I said earlier, the whole car just wants to slide sideways towards the fence. I've done an hour or so practicing around the Hednesford track this afternoon and as Murf predicted, you do seem to get better but there only seems to be one line in to the bends, if you hit it OK the back end drifts out quite nicely and you can hold it there ready for hitting the straight again by playing the throttle a little bit. I would have thought that with the power these things have though that you could send the arse out from any line you take instead of it just lurching towards the fence if you're any more than half a car width off line..... Anyway mate, I'll have a good look over the info you've suggested and keep trying, it looks a fantastic mod and I've been a fan of these things since the end of the 60's so I won't be giving up too easy..... in fact I got my time down from around 17.5 to 14.2 just this afternoon, probably still laughable by some standards in here but it's progress!....hahaha! thanks again.... Jon T.
  3. OK Murf, I'm sticking with it for now but I can't get the damn things round corners at anything over 35mph or as I said, they just head straight for the fence. I can't see that it's a problem with my equipment either because I don't seem to have any problem at all with any other mods I have installed. Jon T.
  4. Oh yea, sorry mate, I mean the rFactor mod. Thanks... Jon T.
  5. Hi bugsy... There is a banger mod for rFactor but it's still only a work in progress yet, I have the beta version of it installed and up to know it's looking good. There's a league running at the moment using the beta mod but I think it's more of a test thing yet. Jon T. hi there jon can u msn me the mod please at j244@hotmail.co.uk thank bugsy I don't use MSN mate sorry, I'm not sure if I could send you mod anyway as it's not for general realise yet. I'll ask for you and if I get permission to pass it on I will. Jon T.
  6. I can't find a link that helps with car set ups. Can anyone point me towards it please, or if not can anyone give some advice? I'm having real trouble with both F1 and F2 cars, they just don't want to go around the corners! All they seem to do is a complete slide sideways in to the fence, I don't mean the back end is kicking out I mean the whole car. I don't even get chance to try opposite lock out of the corners because it just won't get that far. They seem to be driving more like a front wheel drive car that has been pushed too hard and the whole thing just heads for the fence. If I slow down enough to get round I just get battered by the other cars. Any advice please? Thanks... Jon T.

  8. OK thanks for that Wrighty, I felt pretty sure that when I first had this game, a long time ago now, that there was a way of running single player championships and for a fact there were hundreds of different cars you could add in to all the different 'Heat' classes. I do remember having a ' Clockwork Orange ' team full of A60's in bangers and a Morris Marina amongst others, also there were such things as a mk 1 Ford Escort in lots of different colour schemes for the Hot Rod class. Seems like a lot of things have changed in the years since I last had this game installed.... I might as well uninstall it all again...... Would anyone like to buy a Nascar Heat CD complete with Brisca Heat CD??..lol
  9. How do you run a championship season in bangers, in single player, off-line mode? Everytime I try to start a season I can only race on the default Nascar tracks, is there some way of changing this? Thanks... Jon T.
