you are correct boss. i had an 1800 one. they made them in 1800 and 2200, both fwd and the later one was known as the wolsley 6 i believe. engine was similar to a mini with gearbox also being the sump. mine was auto having a gearstick on the dash board lol. its now in 280 simon goodales yard in exchange for a p5. cheers, damo.

boss i do the same but is there any easier way of erasing the grey from around the signs other than by freehand using the eraser tool. cheers, damo.

Not trying to join a debate or even start another one, but what are these like as bangers? I can never remember seeing one on the track? Also, any pics of any that have raced? Cheers, CC ive seen 229 kenny welsby race an estate one at northampton in 2litre bangers and it was fast and rock hard. put a bluey on the cage and still went on for more.

I hope they don't change the rules as I'm also going to use the standard petrol tank in my car. The previous owner said that this was allowed (as it's infront of the back axle), and advised doing so due a somewhat complicated fuel system. It being fuel injection, it uses high-pressure pipes, but also, supposedly, it has a fuel pump at the tank aswell as a normal one. erik a few little tips on car prep m8. when you have a front end shunt and the bulkhead snaps the dash board comes down and traps you in the car. not good if its on fire like the one above. also leaving the standard petrol tank in is highly dangerous as if you get put on the cage wheres all that fuel going to go? up like a bomb! and as for fuel injected cars. i wouldnt use one even if you were allowed as the fuel comes out at such high pressure if it split and caught light it would be like a flame thrower. i would ditch the saab m8 and get a nice carb'd mk3 cav damo.

funny you should mention crasharama as ive just finished stripping my next mk2 and fitted the water tank in. and as i loved last weekend it would be rude not to.......

just a quick update. got furthest travelled award. got a puncture in first heat, second heat took the pink panther over the bank and jacked a bluey nicely and mateys helmet come off. i then proceeded to drive like crewie does online lol and did a few doughnuts before a tina done me on the nose and blew a water hose. taking it back out at lynn on 21st april. was nice to meet a few more of the online community aswell, namely dazza 684, nemesis 239, crewie 18, jamesy 120, si 231 and boogie 252. thanks to crewie and boogie for their help in the pits and jamesy and si for driving me on the parade. thanks for the help guys. u hit the nail on the head crewie i had the firing order at 1-3-4-2 when it should have been 1-4-3-2 and i also had the dizzy 180 degrees out aswell. made some hellish backfire tho lol. it now runs sweet as after i changed a plug lead that was down. so on my checklist i can now put ticks next to: 1) hotel- check 2) transport- check 3) money- check 4) a running car- check 5) a complete car- not far off st day lock up your your farmyard animals cos mr dangerous is coming to town. woop woop! lol

me m8 nicked the bulbs and rear lights for his trailer but part from that all the bits are scrapped in the back of my last mk2. ive tried wiring it up today with my wiring loom from my mk2 which was a 2 litre pinto. all i get is popping and banging when it starts and is only on 2 cylinders: 1) i have connected the wire on the carb to the ignition as i assumed this was right thing to do? 2) does the 2litre ignition system run on the 1600 ( i have used coil, dizzy everything off a 2litre ) i then have changed everything back to original. ive got a lumenition box which has 3 wires going to the dizzy(which is points), one to earth, one to live on the coil, one to earth on the coil and one to the ignition switch and i have no spark. i have unplugged the 3 wires from the dizzy when i stripped it then reconnected them so: 1) i may have them the wrong way round or 2) anything else needed to run a points pinto engine? any help would be much appreciated. cheers, damo.

couldnt put the cage in straight away as i had no wire for the welder to weld the floor up. ive solid mounted the engine, welded triangles on the bonnet, plated the footwells and where you mount the seat. ive now got the h-frame in and petrol tank. had to borrow a frame as the damn car is too short for my cage. all that wants doing now is wire it up, fuel line, pipe up the steam tank, fit the brake pads, fit the drivers door plate and paint/sign it.

we never actualy timed the 0-60 but its in the region of 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 160mph+ at thruxton. laptimes at most uk tracks are quicker than formula 3's and btcc and round donnington park a 250cc went quicker than a f1 car. to give u some idea the straight at fulbeck is 260 metres, u come onto it at about 30mph. my data logger recorded a topspeed of 100mph at the end. power to weight ratio is 400 bhp/tonne. to compare a ferrari f40 is 434 bhp/tonne. put plainly ive never come across anything yet on 4 wheels as fast as my kart. lol.

hi mate. that is one nicely presented project. i too have a couple of karts and used to race a 250cc formula 250 national. heres a pic of the later model of the one i raced. enjoy. [attachmentid=14677]

The Calipers on the Capri were the Ford M16 calipers which were also used on Escort Mk1 & 2 along with Cortina 3,4,5 so they should all be inter changeable. ok cheers leek. ill scource some 2moro.

hi mate. i have encountered a similar problem. i upgraded my graphics card to a geforce 6600 and every now and again my game stutters and randomly freezes for upto 10 seconds at a time. ive done most of what you have mentioned above, defrag, etc and after reading your post im beginning to wonder if heat is fully compatible with nvidea graphics cards? maybe someone in the know will tell us. cheers, damo.
