Yeh I know I got in the way of a few in the final but I'd lost it. Should of just pulled off. I'm mates with the lad that spun me and I know it wasn't on purpose just frustrating. I know many have said it but Danskin is a true gent. Even thought he's nearly a second faster than me he never hits me, even in practice.

First meeting I've not enjoyed. As you all know I'm new to this game and I do 1000s of laps of practice per week, not to be quick but to be stable and able to get out of the way of the fast guys. Prior to the meeting in the practice room again the usual couple, despite being given room can't help going past me without sticking me in the wall. Whites and yellows race I was at the back pretty quick due to a racing incident which is fair enough. I then watched 2 yellows who were fast enough in the practice room to win the race, hit each other bend after bend, enabling me to keep with them and them not to catch anyone unless the other drivers made mistakes. Just a little thought put into it would benefit you both. The heats I enjoyed, only picked up a point but some good hard racing in both. The final I was spun before the flag dropped and by the time I rejoined the leaders were only quarter of a lap behind me. Despite this it took a good while for them to catch me. My biggest pet hate is leaders that again despite me giving them loads of room decide to hit me that hard it nearly flips my car. What's the point? If you tangle you'll only have yourself to blame. Can't remember the GN I was massively disinterested by that point. I have not reported any incidents from last nights meeting because I don't think people should be banned from something they pay for. But please can drivers sort there heads out for next week.

Yeh I was trying to stay on the racing line longer, I'd rather let people past for 1 position than panic and spin and lose 3-4 though.

Said it in chat but i'll say it again, great racing tonight, hard but clean throughout and was well chuffed with 9th in the GN!

Yeh was just checking, have had a play in them just wondered why they'd disappeared.

Have they not been put up yet, or is my computer playing up? First F1 Meeting tonight, looking forward to it.

Enjoyed the meeting last night, felt I was a step closer to being competitive and gutted I missed the final, feel I was fast enough from white. But luck wasn't on my side!

Hi guys, I currently have somebody painting me skins for F1s and 2s. However he won't be done for the upload deadline. So I was just wondering if anybody could do me some plain cars with my number #93 on, or if anybody has any old ones they don't use that I could borrow. Chassis wise F2s I'm using RCE for Tarmac and The blue higman for Shale but I'm not fussy and will be greatful for any skins. Twisty

Really enjoyed it tonight guys, very pleasantly surprised to find myself with 3 points. Looking forward to the Tarmac next week. Apoligies to anyone who I got in the way of, was trying to slide wide when faster guys where behind but found stranded cars more than once.

Massive thanks guys, i'm now hitting 14.0/13.9s regularly with a fastest lap of 13.7 so im well chuffed! Done a few practise rolling lap into race scenarios aswell and i'm managing 20+ laps without spinning so it's just what happens with a full grid now...looking forward to it though.

Cheers for that Wardie. It's just good to have a time to aim for. Last night I was doing 15second laps, now I'm down to comfortable 14.3s so I'm not far off. Will have a good read through the setup guide later today and see if we can get it down to below 14.

I've done a bit of searching and I know this has been asked before. There's mention of a site aswell but it's not there anymore when I try and click it. I'm just wondering what laptimes to aim for on tracks. Hoping to do my first meeting on Monday but don't want to be getting in peoples way. Thanks.

That's a massive help thanks bagoo. Think i will purchase the cheap option for now and give myself a "tester" season.

Doesn't at the moment but he said he'd put one in. Is there a certain type I should ask for?

Thanks again guys for the advice. They have 2 computers second hand. The cheapest is on windows vista with 2G Memory and 160G hard drive. Is this good enough for the game? Sorry I'm asking so many questions I've always relied on others regarding computers this is the first I've bought myself!

Cheers for the info, think I will have a look for a desktop then, we have a computer shop that does second hand stuff so will try there. My laptop is ok for single mode but jumps a little every other lap so dread to think what it would be like for online.

Ok, wheel purchased and is awesome! Next question is what sort of laptop do I require? The one I have at the moment is fine for offline but I think it's going to struggle online. I know there's the Alienware laptops which are supposedly really good but also really expensive. Do any of you run on laptops and if so what's the best/cheapest option?

Hi guys, Looking at getting into ukdirt this year. So looking for a good quality steering wheel to begin with. Also looking for a full seat setup but that's not urgent, due to man cave not being ready yet. What is the best wheel to get? Does anybody have any for sale? Thanks, Twisty
