  1. simple...dump her seriously you dont have to get the most expensive wheel, rFactor is a long way from Heat (from what I can gather) and is certainly more streamlined to the Simulation of racing as to the "pick up and play" of Heat. Obviously fair enough not everyone can afford or has got room for a wheel & pedals, but it is something thats definatley worth looking into - not just for F1 Stockcars but the multitude of high quality mods for rF and the future of sim racing in general. Just hope that when the league starts Forced Cockpit View is available
  2. I'll send you my Thrustmaster FormulaT2 for FREE
  3. Good to see the love in here, personally I'm more worried about people using joypads, keyboards and Swingman views.....but thats another argument entirely
  4. hehe might've known! lets just pray whoever done it can release a decent version that works properly!
  5. screw that then 'cos I run primarily in F1 Stockers and deleted the All Tracks rfm so that version of rF loads quicker...and no I cant be bothered to copy it across! RANT coming up on rfactorcentral
  6. Thats my point... aahh I see now
  7. cant seem to get the track loaded in rF, working on it will report back!
  8. first time i've seen it even though its version 1.3, it is a US track at 0.3miles (482.8 meters) so maybe abit too large? I dunno! will race it later and see for myself, but for now: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Flamboro

    Meet 9/9/07

I am quite amazed at the number of people without wheels/pedals here at UKDirt, even with Heat I would've thought that would be enough to persuade your minds to get one!
  10. if he didn't know Max and he's done that in 2 weeks he must've sold his soul to the Devil in exchange haha! Looks fabulous Drumb, a superb first effort m8 put it this way he asked me to help with MAX stuff and I'm no 3D guru Truly is a great track especially for a 1st time effort, he's done a fantastic job and you wont be disappointed!
  11. killed that was fun thanks Wrighty! Amazed I got a 13.9, RealFeel does really help loads with this mod
  12. whats the IP for when MatchMaker is playing up? thanks
  13. No, dont plan on it. why the shots on rFCentral then? they look like dirt to me (Not worried personally you understand just wondering) I love Birm mate its top draw as always, cant wait for your collection to grow
  14. Looks good so far, can we have a clockwise paved version once completed?
  15. yeah it was the same back in the Unreal level designing days, so many just converted levels to the newer engine/game without taking advantages of the new stuff....I of course spent months playing with the new stuff I'll give the track a try later although I'm not in the F1 mood today!
  16. track grip could be a problem but if its fun to play online then that'll count for something, poor textures worrys me though and I agree I want to see track makers use rFs technology more often.
  17. http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?I...0I69%20Speedway 1/4mile dirt oval, real world track from the US, might come in handy for the F1s!* *if it goes anti-clockwise of course
  18. the only thing you can do is put Aggression upto 100%, thing is the AI in rF naturally avoids contact so they will never bump you deliberately to push you wide. There are a few settings you can adjust to make them more lifelike in other mods but I dont think you'll ever get them like that with the stockcars unfortunately.

    Driving View

Sometimes the Move Seat buttons dont do enough to change the view to what you really want, so for example go into the F1 Stockcars\eliteS folder and open eliteS_cockpitinfo.ini at the veery top you'll see this line: Eyepoint=(0.043, 1.007, 1.401) the number relate too - Driver eyepoint (cockpit view only) ( LEFT/RIGHT, UP/DOWN, FORWARD/BACK) Have a fiddle with the numbers to get a desired view (works with all mods), you will need to leave the track and re-enter to see changes but you dont have to exit completley out of rFactor.
  20. Dont like the idea of a post anywhere on the wall, you could get shunted out there easily enough and then its race over instead of bouncing off the wall.
  21. Cheers mate, the curb is the ONLY thing I can find picky about the track which is saying something, its not a major problem anyway but thought I'd mention it Agree with the paddock thing, again not a major problem and its nice and quick to join from the infield which is why i like it. Now go start on Cowdenbeath for me
