Hi I believe that what ever you sister does on a computer thats networked up to yours is going raise your ping, or at least make you warp a little. I don't think it can all be blamed on msn, my sister is on that most the time when im racing, and all i get it slight screen jitter whenever she gets a message, but it rarely causes warp. However, if she is surfing the web whilst im racing and goes on something with streaming audio for example or if shes downloading sumit, thats when the warp starts. Best check what shes doing, and maybe give her some guidelines on what not to do when your racing. Easier said than done, my sister isnt nice enough to listen to me, she'll download sumit whilst im racing just to spite me Hope this helps.... Cheers MoR

Hi Went around my friends today and she was complaining that her PC wouldn't do anything. So we fired it up and it was fine until you clicked on an icon to do something, and nothing happened. So we bashed our trusty old Ctrl Alt Del combination and at the bottom of the task manager CPU usage was at 100%, obviously explaining why nothing else would load. So i clicked the Processes tab and found that around 98% of the CPU was being used by STARTEAK.exe. I've been home and checked my computer, as we both run Windows XP, and i do not have STARTEAK listed in my processes. With her PC not being mine, I'm too scared to click to end the process as I'm afraid of what it might do. I was thinking that maybe this could be some sort of virus. However, how do i run a virus check when CPU usage is at 100% with STARTEAK running? Thats my dialema here! If anyone could help me or reassure me that ending the process STARTEAK.exe will not harm her computer, that would be much appreciated. Cheers MoR

Very true sparky, but who knows, people have raced cars with sidepods on shale before (frankie won the gold in his tar car ) and those types of wings have been seen about on slippery stuff. As for the large air intake, doesn't suggest anything to me, yeh its like frankies tar car but why not have it on a shale car. Just look almost Frankie built again, i remember him saying his 2004 tar car was based on a frankie tar chassis, well this one its looking similar, the shape and the top of the sidepods suggest that to me. But after only racing his 2004 tar car for one season, surely he's not ridding of it already? Only time will tell, looks great to me though! Cheers MoR

Chris56... First up. 'Real Stockcar Heat'? You want 'Real Stock Car Heat', then go and download BH2005 or BriSCA Legends..... Secondly, you boast about having lots of Real Life drivers in your game? If you read this thread, Dragon states that this game isnt going to have that many real life skins, and is more open for OUR custom skins for whatever league we decide to run for this mod. Personally i couldn't care much for real life NZ skins, because i haven't a clue who all the drivers are, apart from Stan Hicky. All credit to Dirtnz on trying to get his game going, but i remember talking about the game since when i first started UKDirt (March 2003) and tbh 2 years is a long time to wait..... I understand you are coming on her to defend the mod which you are helping to create, but nobody is forcing you to race Dragon's NZ Heat. If you don't like it, then get back to work with Dirtnz, finish the game and then come back here and tell us how good it is, rather than slagging off our NZ Heat when yours isn't even finished. However, i had a little thought before, would be nice to have a few 'overseas' visits in the UKDirt F1 season...... like a NZ championship or something in the new cars? Hi Personaly use a Saitek P880 Dual Analog Gamepad at the moment, the Shoulder Buttons are slightly dodgy (i don't use them though) and I've snapped the stick off its joint once (think i was aiming for Mav) but superb pad if treated nicely. Also very comforatble to hold. Probably buy it for under a tenner now. Cheers MoR
