  1. Hi again lads, nearly there now!

Just a couple more things needed, where would be the cheapest place to get a router and 2 network cables which run to the back of your pc's??

Are there any little shops about which would do a deal which you know about?

    Help appreciated as always  042.gif  rolleyes.gif  thumbs_up.gif

    Hi

try some of these links...buy most of my parts on the internet and all in good condition.

    http://www.ebuyer.com

    http://www.novatech.co.uk

    http://www.dabs.com

dunno if it beats the prices in the shops tho..probably! thumbs_up.gif

  2. Hi trav

Just read the game specifications and it says it only needs a 64MB video card, don't know why it won't go with yours tho shrug.gif ...I say a brand new decent 64 meg card will cost around 20 - 30 pounds, and they go on ebay for quite cheap as well!

If ya did buy a new card, so simple to install!...Open up the case, look for the 3/4 white slots on the motherboard(PCI SLOTS) and insert the card into one of them, screw it to the case and your done! You will then have to install the drivers from the CD the card came with.

    upto you m8! thumbs_up.gif

  3. are you using the java chat of ukdirt site...not mirc one?

Anyway to check if you have java applications enabled, go to 'tools' in an internet window up the top, 'internet options' and select the 'security' tab. Click once on the internet(Picture of the world!) and select 'custom level' at the bottom.

Scroll down until you find 'java permissions' and select 'high safety'.

Also scroll down until you find 'scripting of java applets' and select enable. Click OK on that window and apply on the other one.

Be also an idea to use MiRc m8!

    hope this helps

  4. how do i go about doing a driver file so that i dont just have plain cars no decals on them or there just novice cars

Just download the banger team skinpack m8!

All cars show offline and you don't need to touch the drivers text. Just download the 2 team skins from www.ukdirt.co.uk, and by going menu, downloads and select the banger car.

The drivers text is simple to use, all you have to do is add below and change the racers name, racers number and the chassis type. Leave everything else the same!

    table driver

    name MichaelG

    number 38

    chassis granIc

    rank 1

    race_image 100

    body_style ccar

    end

any more help, send me a pm :thumbs up:

  5.

    lo aussie

First up you have to upload the music file, geocities only supports .midi and .wav!

You can do this by signing in and when your on the homepage, look for the advanced tool box and select 'Easy Upoad' Upload it there.

Open pagebuilder and look up the top for 'Add ons' and select background music from there. Click choose and select the music file you uploaded. If you want the music to keep continuing select 'loop' Click OK and it should all be done!

Remember only supports .midi and .wav, no .mp3 thumbs_down.gif

    hope thats helps

    lo guys 042.gif

Does anyone know what this programme is - eljagpcb.exe ?

Im always getting error messages saying..'eljagpcb.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows'. Plus when I go to shut my pc down it always says 'eljagpcb.exe is not responding bla bla bla'

Looking at the name and all the recent problems I've been having, is this yet another virus i've picked up? banghead2.gif
