REMINDER: Ministox are not a full time mod. We have added these on at the end of the week whilst sporting events around the world are postponed. As soon as things are looking better real life, this mod will be cancelled as we all get back to normal day to day life.
Rules
Overview / HighlightsAll UK Dirt General Rules apply, in addition to, or overwritten by the following rules...
Meetings are Friday evenings at 8pm (meeting in Discord race-meeting-chat) at 7.50pm.
The typical meeting format consists of three qualifying heats, final(s) and finishing the night off with challenge races.
Members can choose whether to make a skin. Skins aren't essential and novice cars can be used for the duration of the series.
No talking during races!
Disciplinary issues will be reviewed by the Ministox Admin Team - if you do something wrong, you might get in trouble! (Save your replays!!!)Mod & Downloads
Install all 3 in the correct order.
New Members
Any member with previous experience (other formulae OR leagues) should identify themselves to the Ministox Admin Team before their first meeting for grading purposes.
Any member failing to do so will be dealt with by disciplinary process.Skins (Custom Painted Cars)
Novice cars are available for any member without their own custom skin.
Members can submit their own custom skins to race for the season (paint your own, or use the Skin Painting section on the UKDirt Forum to make a request).
Members can submit skins of all (white, yellow, blue, red) roof grades, these should all use the same base car design.Rules relating to signs and appearance:
Roof colours are to be painted according to grade and should be true shades of that colour.
There must be no writing on the roof itself (the roof must be one solid colour)
Numbers may be any colour/design however they must be clearly readable.
No swearing, obscene images or any other paint/signs intended to cause dispute/offence.
Correct upgrades (to match painted skin) should be used (e.g. roof type, bonnet upgrades, etc).
Superstar lights should only be used by superstars.
Members without correctly graded skins will be required to start at the back, a grade gap behind the superstars.
Skins will only be released in official UKDirt Ministox skinpack installation files.
It should go without saying, but it is not acceptable to "rip-off" skins or signs that others have painted...issues of this nature will be dealt with by disciplinary process.Bookings
Bookings are open for the week preceding a meeting on the UKDirt Forum, in the Ministox (rFactor) area.
Members wishing to race should book in before 7.30pm on the day of a meeting.
Any bookings after 7.30pm on the day of the meeting are considered late bookings, accepted only at the discretion of the RM (Race Manager).
Warning! There is no such thing as a 'provisional' booking, please don't use it to play the messer strike system, if you think you will struggle to make a meeting that you are booked in to race let the RM know.Format:
Each meeting will consist of 3 heats (12 laps), a Final (16 laps) and special challenge event to finish the night which will be announced before each meeting.
If there are less than 8 participants for a B-final, it will not be a point scoring race.
Points scheme:
Heats: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
A-final: 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.
B-final: 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1 (minimum 8 participants).
Drivers must complete 75% race distance to be eligible to score points.Race Starting Procedure
Where possible a non-racing steward will be used to start races.
Racing will not start straight away.
Drivers should drive slowly to their grid position.
Drivers should not hit any cars while lining up.
Drivers should try to avoid overtaking/racing other cars whilst lining up.
Drivers should try to 'mix up' the positions within grades for each race.
Race winners should start at the back of their grades for any further races.Grade positions (approximate):
White Grade drivers should start on the start/finish line.
Yellow Graded drivers should start approximately 3 car lengths behind the last White.
Blue Graded drivers should start approximately 3 car lengths behind the last Yellow.
Red Graded drivers should start approximately 3 car lengths behind the last Blue.
Superstar drivers should start approximately 3 car lengths behind the last Red.
Novice drivers may opt to start behind the superstars in their first few meetings.
Any driver starting behind the superstars should leave at minimum a 3 car length gap and take care to not immediately cause problems for those drivers in the superstar grade.
Grade positions may be adjusted by an in race steward (or someone nominated).
When the steward is satisfied with the race line up:
"Anyone NOT ready?" will be called, an opportunity to delay the race if necessary.
"Roll at 20mph" will be called, for a full rolling lap.
"GO!" will be called, sometime as the lead cars pass through turns 3 and 4.
Some comments on rolling laps... Try to roll at 20mph/32kph and keep the grade gaps. Try to roll at 20mph and keep your grade nicely together. Try not to accelerate and brake sharply during the rolling lap. Do not try to anticipate the start of the race.
We aim for a maximum of 2 restarts per race (bad starts, disconnection, warp, etc), in the case that a race is restarted due to a driver disconnecting (before go is called) there will be approximately a 2 minute period to return to the server.
Jump starts will not be tolerated. Penalties may include position dockings and disciplinary points.
Disciplinary
This section relates only to the UKDirt Ministox league.
We all must remember this isn't an official season, yet driving standards need to be kept reasonable. It would be a shame to ban people for silly driving.
Disciplinary matters are incredibly simple...If you do something wrong, then you might get in trouble!
If you have a complaint, get in touch with the UKDirt Ministox Admin Team, preferably Kane238 or HGR777. Please send a Private Message on the UKDirt Forum including details of the incident (which race, which lap, which cars, etc) and if possible include your replay. This complaint should be submitted before midnight on the Sunday following the meeting.
The UKDirt Ministox Admin Team will aim to deal with complaints within 1 week.
Disciplinary action will be posted to the relevant thread on the UKDirt Ministox section of the Forum, and any member with disciplinary action against them should also be informed by PM on the UKDirt Forum.
Review may take place whether there is a complaint lodged or not.
Offences will incur weekly bans.
Appealing against disciplinary points/actions:
If a member feels that a disciplinary outcome is unsatisfactory they should appeal the decision (and may be permitted to race under appeal if appropriate).
The member should contact a member of the Ministox Admin Team (preferably by PM to Kane238 or HGR777) stating their case in full.
The UKDirt Ministox Admin Team, and potentially other UKDirt Admin members, will review each appeal case.
If an appeal has no substance, or appears to serve no purpose other than to waste the time of admin members, beware that there is potential to take further disciplinary action.

Challenge Races

MINISTOX RETURN!
UKDirt Online Racing are proud to announce that the Ministox are returning for a limited time every Friday night starting at 8:30PM, starting 27th March!
Seeing as pretty much everything has been postponed in real life due to the Coronavirus, we have made the decision to add on an extra night of racing for something to do whilst we wait for the country to get in a better state. For now we estimate that the season will run through to Friday May 1st, but may be extended.

This skinpack is to fix the issues with a few skins, so anyone else who needs a skin, you can send them in also.
We are now collecting skins for the 2nd skinpack of the 2020 season, please read all of the below:
A FEW SIMPLE RULES
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF THIS POST BEFORE SENDING ANY FILES
1: NUMBERS - numbers must be BLACK ON WHITE the white outline MUST be big enough to make the BLACK stand out (no fancy inlay colours please)
2: SAVING - YOU MUST SAVE ALL F2 FILES IN DXT1 NOT DXT5
3: FILE NAMES - please name your car files based on these templates:
main file/veh - 20UKD238_KaneT for tar and 20UKD238_KaneS for shale (your name and number not mine!!)
other files - use the above but just add the grade colour to the end ie 20UKD238_KaneTred or 20UKD238_KaneTyellow etc...
If you are unsure of veh files leave them to me as its easier for me that way but please state what chassis and surface for each car.
4: SENDING IN FILES - PLEASE SEND IN YOUR FILES VIA THE UPLOAD TOOL ON THE WEBSITE OR UPLOAD TO THIS THREAD. DO NOT PM ME!
5: RE-USING OLD SKINS - If you wish to re-use your skin from the 2019 season, let me know on this thread please and i will add them to the pack
6: ROOF GRADES - roof grades are red, blue, yellow and white, no brown, purple or green wings will be excepted!
Members are permitted to change chassis once on each surface during the course of the season. After changing they may NOT change again, even if they wish to revert back to the original chassis.
I think you will find these are very simple rules but many seem to struggle with them, if I have to go through and fix skins to fit these rules myself I can not promise the results will be pretty - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
