hi guys...a few questions about setting up 2 computers to share the same internet.

When I try to set ICS up on my computer(windows 2000) it says it will give my network card this address:192.168.0.1...I click ok and the following error comes up ERROR 783: INTERNET CONNECTION SHARING CANNOT BE ENABLED. THE LAN CONNECTION SELECTED AS THE PRIVATE NETWORK IS EITHER NOT PRESENT, OR HAS BEEN DISABLED.

I have 2 network cards in both pc's(all installed) and I think its an RJ45 cable running from each one. BTW the other machine is running windows 98.

I've also been looking at routers, seems like they do a good job so...Will this be the solution or will I still have to go through ICS, probably getting the same error!

Plus are routers compatible with all operating systems?

any help would be great thumbs_up.gif

as you can read...not too good at this networking!
