When I try to set ICS up on my computer(windows 2000) it says it will give my network card this address:192.168.0.1...I click ok and the following error comes up ERROR 783: INTERNET CONNECTION SHARING CANNOT BE ENABLED. THE LAN CONNECTION SELECTED AS THE PRIVATE NETWORK IS EITHER NOT PRESENT, OR HAS BEEN DISABLED. I have 2 network cards in both pc's(all installed) and I think its an RJ45 cable running from each one. BTW the other machine is running windows 98. I've also been looking at routers, seems like they do a good job so...Will this be the solution or will I still have to go through ICS, probably getting the same error! Plus are routers compatible with all operating systems? any help would be great as you can read...not too good at this networking! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
