installing game...aarrggggg

hi guys this game looks superb but im really getting annoyed trying to get it to work :banghead2:

please someone help. i got a ciopy of nascar heat of a friend..this has installed ok on my pc.

i have got to the stage where i have downloaded the ukdirtf1 mod to put in the box when it appears...

the trouble im having is it comes up this game is not meant for windows 2000 continue yes or no..so when i click yes it says sorry or to those words and then says it has exiled??????

have i missed a part out.please help somone or anybody that has the time run through it with me :coffee:

strange, normally when u get that box and click 'yes' it continues as normal ...... you can change the compatibility for it in add/remove programs in control panel i think....alternatively download the mod launcher for heat here which removes the compatibility thing anyway (and is a handy tool for picking what mod, which tracks are for which mods etc).

If you still get an error stopping the game running, save the notepad of the error and post it here please.
