    Skin help

And can some one please make some wavy checkers for a Sheerline hearse as mine are crap Stig727 If you make a new layer paint your "spuare" checks - then in effects experiment with distortion or wave effects (sometimes you have to move the squares on the page to get the desired effect you want. TBH chequers are an easy effect but as allways it's 1000000000000000% more satisfying if you can do it youself also try using your painting program help button - it has an explanation of what everything does - i also have a book called instructions its full of writing but if you can read it's really good

    car file

it was for a free league meeting - but as the template and or car had problems it was never publically released
  10. you could do it as 2 seperate models e.g. 08Rfw - with wing chassis name 08R - no wing obviously this would mean doing everything twice but just stating the obvious really!!

    How to...

not one following the tutorial - (all self taught!!) but once you've got the hang of it you can add other effects!! just play around with other tools see what happens - takes some time and practice but hey rome wasn't built in a day
  12. FBF made the car so it's on the car file - you cant get rid of it maybe you moved where the fin plate was placed ?
  13. download the patterns in the above posts open them in paint shop x select with the spuare selection tool the metal type you want to use create the numbers out of - BUT leave it selected !!!!!! now go to your skin - type the numbers or letters you want - then change the colour of the letters to a pattern - the pattern you left selcted in the metal window should be an option. just use the pattern size/zoom options to get the size right - personal opinion chequer plate has small not large "lumps" to get the best looking image get it as small as possible - you may have to re ajust the selection as it will start to duplicate the image and will look odd if the edges dont line up. hope the above is clear - it works for me in psp9
  14. like i said in my post this is direct from a manufacturer - could well be a way of getting a bit of credibility but like most others i have also heard this rumour once or twice a year but never from so direct a source/friend - just thought it would be of interest and raise some thoughts he was always so quick it was like he was cheating but if you really studied how hw drove he was so smooth he really did just go quicker at points of the tracks where others darn't or couldn't. be good to see him and sorry to hear about the personal probs he's havin
  15. my mate visted a well known f2 manufacturer on monday afternoon now this may or may not be true or allready be public knowledge but he was told and saw with his own eyes a new car that was destined for an ex world champion making a return with something different!!! he wasn't alloud to take any pictures but he said it looked awsome needed an engine back axle but as it wasn't signwritten couldn't tell for deffo who's car it was. now we went through a list of ex f2 world champs and the only one we could relistically see making a comeback was speaky......... watch this space

    Volvo 144

top effert stig! as calum said nice to see someone new having a go i would but time and not having 3d max dont help!! this was gonna be my first effort [attachmentid=24286] [attachmentid=24287] [attachmentid=24288] i know there not square on pics but the shape is really basic first aim would be just to get it in the game then worry about all the other stuff like damage etc - thought it would be a good place to start - feel free to use them if anybody wants!
  19. from memory the car files have/had a problem with them that ment the cars dont react correctly to contact - only was ever run as a ukdirt mod during the very early years but due to the problem these were then dropped - was another free league run about 12 months ago but not sure if thats folded now - maybe worth seeing if thats still running mate rather than start your own? with the problems with the car file also maybe worht giving this a miss mate - not putting your efforts down but is in my opinion time wasted and a non starter!!!
