Tonight when trying to get into to chat for the F2 meeting, I found I couldn't. It told me I had been banned and disconnected me.

I was told to post up a screen shot of it, so here it:

Please, could someone help as I haven't got a clue what to do,

Thanks

Kruiz

I had a similar problem when they accused me of spamming, the only thing i really did, after bombarding them with emails, was to empty my trash folder of emails and things seem to revert back. I had previously formatted and put settings into e-mail client and it then downloaded 3500 e-mails from server which I trashed,

 if its something else then sorry m8

Thanks for that Jarry, i hope it is nothing quite that serious though, but if worst comes to worst, that may be the only solution :banghead2:

I have tryed reintsalling a few times but to no avail, is it possible that ukdirt registered driver could have banned me having notice this option in the commands list?

I also can't get into MSN, this may have something to do with it?

It mentions improper proxy or firewall settings, i have no idea what this means though.

Kruiz, if you're using a firewall eg. McAfee, Norton etc then you might want to check that the firewall is allowing the various programs to access the web.

If the firewall is ok, you might want to tell the computer to renew your IP address? (Sorry, don't exactly know how to do this)

I have just checked that, it is in the allow list of port numbers etc. along with Java.

I don't know how to renew the IP address either

I googled it and found the following...(its designed to help people who's internet won't work, but the IP renewing process is the same).

For Windows XP and 2000:

1. Click Start, and then Run. Type cmd and click OK.

2. You should see a window with a black background and a blinking cursor.

3. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.

4. After you are able to type again, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.

5. Once you get a blinking cursor again (it could take between 1 and 15 seconds), you can close the window. Then, open Internet Explorer.

6. If you still do not have Internet access, try restarting your computer and opening Internet Explorer again.

For Windows 95, 98, and Millennium Edition (ME):

1. Click Start, and then Run. Type winipcfg and click OK.

2. A window should appear with a white box toward the top. Click on this box, and choose the item from the list that includes "LAN," "Ethernet," "NDIS," "Network," or something similar.

3. Click Release, and then Renew. Then, click OK to close the window.

4. Try opening Internet Explorer. If this does not work, restart your computer and try opening Internet Explorer again.

Another problem for the pile,

Jolt just reads 'waiting for reply'. I assume these things are all related somehow. Strange as during the F2 meeting I partcipated in Heats & Final, Jolt was working fine, just chat was down but now Jolt as well

I had that same thing happening to me with MiRC and blacklisting a year or two back Kruiz, I didn't have a clue why or how to fix it.

It put itself right again all by itself after about a couple of weeks & I was ok again, so maybe a glimmer of hope for you there m8.

Hopefully it wil because i'm stuck for ideas now.

Jolt and MSN are fine again now ntw, so it wasn't a related problem, just MiRC that seems to have blacklisted me for spamming apparently which is ridiculous.
