braderz516 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 yes you can,but i would recommend to use photoshop. I had first also psp but photoshop works much better for me true!
jock Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I originally had paintshop8 but found photoshop 7 much easier(in time) and much better lettering options imo.
braderz516 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 i used 2 use psp but i advise u 2 get photoshop its much easier 2 use!
Rikard Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I started out with both, and after using both for a little while i decided Photoshop was better for me. Plus there are loads of really useful tutorials all over the net. Plus, its the choice of the professionals lol
theboss Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Tbh I find PSP sooooooo much easier to use, currently use versions XI. I spose having used psp for years u get used to it, I just find photoshop arse about face lol
mcrew Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I use PSP7. It was slightly harder to get the hang of as nobody does a user guide for it, but I seem to get good enough results with it now. It must work, as unlike one ' expert ' thats posted in this thread, I dont have to keep asking others to do skins for me.
Adam Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 I startes of with Photoshop, Much easier tbh, better got Psp and found that easy too. Both good imo!
spongeboblloydy Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 hey, i no i might sound like an idoit puting this but i was wondering if you can get paintshop or photoshop free or do u have 2 buy it?
Adam Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I bought photoshop and downloaded paint shop pro of a website, but the paint sshop pro download doesnt work anymore.
calum Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 IMO neithers better than the other depends what your use to, people using psp turn out some MINT cars but same with photoshop, just depends which you prefer
ianbailey981 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 does anyone know where i can get paint shop pro 7 from and roughly how much it is ian

hazy Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 i personally use psp v9 took me two years of offline fiddling before i even attempted a car for someone else I think it's just a case of try what you can get hold of - but be prepared for many hours of trial and error i think i paint in a ver different way to many of the guides out there but it works for me............. does anyone else do this.... set body layers to luminance then add a new layer above then - set to overlay then you can paint on that layer you have to reorder the parts, underneath and fin layers on some models but just experiment with things! below are some of my work......... [attachmentid=15401] [attachmentid=15402]
theboss Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I do a smiliar thing, merge all body parts, make that layer grey, then duplicate and set to overlay and paint/sign the overlay.
dangerous damo Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 I do a smiliar thing, merge all body parts, make that layer grey, then duplicate and set to overlay and paint/sign the overlay. boss i do the same but is there any easier way of erasing the grey from around the signs other than by freehand using the eraser tool. cheers, damo.
