Cod120 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 (edited) I really enjoyed last night's meeting. although vue is a very hard track i found it a challenge to keep the car on the track which for me was the best part of the race. achieve this and what a great load of fun you have. i was on average over a second slower than the fast guys but hey i scored in what i think is great points for my first meeting in these. a 4th and a 5th starting from second last row on the grid being over a second slower was the icing on the cake for me. i plodded round at my own pace and being comfortable at my own pace to finish all races i was in. speed is not the essence in R factor which i think i proved with my places and points. Great meeting great racing and well run thanks to dan and mor and i look forward to the next outing... Edited October 1, 2007 by Cod120

Kruiz 136 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 (edited) Sounds like I missed a good meeting online But I did catch the real stox at BV live Had to make the choice ... which was tough :-) I'm disapointed to have missed the meeting as I I can just about get round Belle Vue, but too was at the real thing, so was more than Happy to see FWJ win the Final, Lundy win the GN, Mal Brown bury SSJ and then watch Nigel Whalley pull away from SSJ in the last 5 laps of the final to get 2nd. But happy to report my dad gave me some tips on how top set a real F1 up on Shale and Tarmac on the way there so hopefully they will translate into the game Oh well next week hopefully Edited October 1, 2007 by Kruiz 136
Guest Scrapman53 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Great fun last night. Thanks Mor/Dan for running it. Pmsl @ AliP taking a kamikazi shot at me because I shoved him wide. It doesn't work as well as it does in Heat Ali does it?
Aub Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Great fun last night. Thanks Mor/Dan for running it. Pmsl @ AliP taking a kamikazi shot at me because I shoved him wide. It doesn't work as well as it does in Heat Ali does it? see this is why arguments start alot of bitching then the thread will be closed no need for it at all everyone will learn u cant hit like heat just give it time as everyone keeps saying i really enjoyed the meet roll on next week cheers lads
Dazza290 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Cheers for the meetings, I was going alright in practise but come to the meeting and all my wheel settings etc just went and the car was un-controllable. Im not sure why, as soon as the meet had finsihed i reloaded a couple things and it was fine again. I reckon a complete fresh install of Rfactor may be in order but was really dissapointed it happened when it did. Was watching Drum and Danskin especially in practise, how the hell there so smooth and consistant I've no idea! Anyway good stuff, will be back for more but will need to work abit on the settings. Cheers Dazza

Cheers Dazza I have over 5000 laps logged at the two ippy versions alone, its practice, practice, practice I am afraid
Mart 870 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 You can hit hard with this but its not as easy I wanted to watch some replays of last nights meeting but whenever i go to watch in the replay fridge the game hangs and i have to reset my pc, any ideas anyone?
MoR137 Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Well - there's not much more I can say than what an excellent nights racing! Every race was a challenge, with concentration required constantly. Planted a few hits that worked, planted a few that didn't, always a lottery and thats whats great about it. Had two particular highlights of the night. The first was in the final; it was a manic race, but not carnage, just hectic, with pile ups here and there to dodge, really was just like the real thing! I was riding around in 3rd or 4th for alot of the race, then found myself in a battle with Mart and Hutch. And you can guess where I ended up courtesy of Mart?! (see the gif below) Was a superb hit right into the fence which left me with some damage to the outside rear, so I found it hard to get any decent laps in after that, but a great new dimension to online racing! The second highlight really topped off the night for me, and it occured in the GN. Somehow, Scrapman ended up ripping his inside rear wheel off, and was sat stranded on the racing line on turns 3 and 4. It was just great watching all the cars parting inside and outside in avoidance, just like the real thing! Not the mention the stray wheel which did a few rounds of the track aswell! Awesome stuff, and looking forward to next week. Cheers MoR PS - two screenies and a gif attached
