Kruiz 136 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 THURSDAY 17TH APRIL - IPSWICH - WHITES AND YELLOWS ROUND 2 - START TIME 7:30PM After two successful meetings on the hard stuff as a bit of a warm up, it's now time to get serious as the Rfactor F1's make their first visit to this years World Championship Venue of Ipswich. If you are going to become the first UK Dirt Rfactor F1 World Champion then you will have to win the 25 lap race arund this awesome raceway, and therefore practice may well be pivotal. This is also a important meeting for the lower grade drivers out there. It's the second round of the whites and yellow's championship. Don't forget this is a points championship now, and thus any points that you score from this meeting will count towards the championship. REMEMBER, TOMORROW'S MEETING STARTS AT 7:30PM, SO BE IN CHAT FOR 7:20PM AS THE FIRST RACE WILL SET OFF AT 7:30PM ON THE DOT. At the time of writing this, there are 12 cars booked in, with only 4 yellows and no whites. I would be very surprised if this was to stay this way. MoR will be your race manager for the evening and Johno will be your meeting steward. So how would you like a blast around the track that will host Rfactor F1's biggest event? Perhaps this could be your first step on your road to gold. Get yourself booked in and find out! Cheers Kruiz

LondonStoxFan Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Hi all. I'd love to take part in this, but I'm having problems with my wheel which is making playing RFactor very frustrating. For no apparent reason, the wheel will suddenly lose all 'feeling'. I'll be happily motoring around the track, then the wheel will suddenly become unusable. All sensitivity is gone, there is a massive 'deadspot' in the middle making it impossible to steer accurately. Sometimes it happens when I spin or take a hit, other times it simply seems to be like it from the start when I click 'race'. Occasionally, I can get the control back by vigorously turning the wheel from side to side - the wheel seems to readjust itself and the deadspot goes away. But that's not much good when I'm online and the race is already ruined for me, and in the case of last week, ruined other people's races too. I guess I can take part and just pull off if it happens, but that isn't a lot of fun. I mentioned it to Hutch last week, and he said several people had the problem... I find that hard to believe though, as everyone else looks fine to me!
Kruiz 136 Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 I think Dazza has had the same problem but he fixed it last week, possibly the person to ask how he fixed it.
DanSkin Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Temporary solution LSF until you figure out why your wheel is doing that... but assign a "Reset FFB" control in the controller settings and try hitting that when your wheel stops working properly.
matthew413 Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 My FF sometimes goes very strange halfway through a race, it becomes really heavy and doesn't react to bumps. I have to unplug the mains lead and plug it back in to sort it out.
Kruiz 136 Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 I sometimes get that too Matthew, it happened to me in last weeks final. I also get my wheel 'jerking' over to the left sometimes after I've been hit and the only way to rememdy tht is to make strong contact with the wall. I think everybody gets a few problems and annoyancies sometimes, I guess we just have to put up with them occasionally, although LSF's seems more than that, there must be a fix for what he's having.
