MoR137 Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 Well done to Genie on a fine win and an excellent performance from the lap handicap in the Grand National. Tonight was a strange night, the track especially was quite interesting. There's no doubt that this is one of the toughest tracks for the mod, as the cars bumped and scraped their way around the bumpy turn and were thrown around the hairpin. I certainly didn't see as much carnage as I anticipated, and all the racing seemed as good as usual. A good challenge. From a personal point of view, I had my usual set of rough heats, not able to make any decent breaks or avoid many of the crashes, then the Scottish Championship race just came from nowhere, which earned by my biggest points of the night. The Grand National was a bit more like the heats were for me, but managed to scrape some points there too. Thoroughly enjoyed it though as I usually do, and will be back for some more next week at Bradford Tarmac. See you all there.

matthew413 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Argh, I battled my way through to 3rd in the final after a terrible start then drove straight into a tyre trying to avoid a spun car! Still enjoyed it, did well for me.

Mr Beef Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Well done Genie for Scottish Championship and top scoring. Wd all other race winners. Good night for me finished 2nd in final got caught by a backmarker which left me no chance of catching Genie, but happy with 2nd. Can't race next week as working away so see you in 2 weeks. Mr Beef
Dazza290 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Well done Genie and thanks to Kev and admin for running the show. Didnt have the best night but thought 4th in the final was respectable from the back.
big al 515 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Really sorry to hear of your pc problems Jimmy, and hope you get it sorted, but you really should not have your pc set to allow any auto-updating at all whilst you race m8 Knockhill was very difficult, it was tricky off-line but a heck of a lot trickier on-line. I had to switch to DX9 and full circuit detail as instructed (I previously had DX7 and low circuit detail) and I guess this didn't help my on-board graphics pc cope. I had to concentrate like mad just to complete laps without incident and hopefully not screwing anybody elses race. Hence I had sympathy with first-timer Earache and I am pleased to see above that he did enjoy himself despite a few problems - hope to see him back again.

I did run end it all before the first heat, but obviously that didn't work.
