2009 Season Information

Hi Guys

 

 

In just over 2 weeks the rfactor f2 season will begin, These meeting will start at 9:15 following the Heat leauge the new Heat start time will be 8:15. However on championship nights for Heat ie british/Euro/world Rfactor will not be running as we realise heat is still the main f2 mod for 2009. That being said on may 25th bank hoilday Monday Bathyboy has kindly said he will drop a heat meeting so i have taken that oppotuinity to run a double header meeting with the first meeting starting at 8pm and the other starting around the normal meeting time.

 

Another thing we decided was not to carry championships over from heat for exampl id daveybird was to race rfactor f2s he would not have a gold roof he just be graded accordingly.

 

We will bascially use the smae rules from Heat as them seem to be fine and if it aint broke dont fix it.

 

Meetings will take place on most Monday evenings (see Fixtures page for full details). The meeting starts at exactly 9.15pm UK time, unless stated otherwise on the Fixtures page, so please be in chat 10 minutes before the meeting starts.

- Any driver not in chat by this time will very likely miss their first heat.

- Drivers will NOT be allowed to request late heats - i.e. you get what you are given as far as heat allocation is concerned.

- All the races are to be run in the Jolt servers.

- The Points scheme for a 'normal' meeting is:

Heats: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Consolations: Non-scoring.

A Final: 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.

B Final: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Grand National: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

- Drivers must complete 75% of a race to qualify for points.

- Each driver will race in two qualifying heats. The top sixteen qualifiers go directly to the meeting final.

- If a number of drivers have equal points and straddle the cut-off point after the Heats then those who placed in a higher position in their heat will have preference. The remaining drivers will go to into either one or two consolations (dependant upon numbers attending the meeting), with 4 drivers qualifying for the final.

Finishers 3 through to 11 in each of the Consolations or finishers 5th to last in a single Consolation will be the qualifiers for the B Final.

- The winner of the A Final must start their Grand National from the lap handicap with the bonus of double points on offer. If the winner of A Final is a White or Yellow grade then they must line up at the rear of the grid behind the Superstars (leaving a gap between the Superstars), if the A Final winner is a Blue, Red or Superstar grade then they must start from the front of the grid.

- There will be enough Grand Nationals, for everyone to race in one.

- Heats & GN’s will consist of a maximum of 18 drivers and will be run in the Jolt Servers as will the Consolations & Finals will have a maximum of 20.

- The meeting format is subject to change depending on car numbers. B finals will be non point scoring if there are less than 16 cars in the race.

- The meeting format will change for championship meetings. Details will be made available as appropriate.

- If any of the Grand National's cannot be run on race night for technical reasons, All Grand National results will be declared null and void.

 

Some of the rules do need updating on the website and they will be done shortly with regards to championship formats

 

Only the relevant titleholders may use the Gold (World), Silver (National Points), Black and White Chequers (British), Red and Yellow Chequers (European), 2 Gold Stripes (World of Shale), St George’s Flag (English Open) and the St Andrew's flag (Scottish), 1 Gold Stripe (Gold Cup) on their respective roofs / wings.

 

Grading periods will be pretty much run as per calender month untill July/August.

They are as follows.

 

 

Starts Ends

Grading period 1 6th april 27th April

Grading period 2 11th May 25th May

Grading perios 3 1st June 29th June

Grading period 4 6th July 3rd August

Grading period 5 10th August 14th September

Grading period 6 21st September 12th October

Final Grading Period 19th October 10th November

 

Thats means theres 4 meetings per grading period.

 

As regards to the 1 chassis change rule that may be changed this season depending on what chassis be come avalible to us during the course of the the season.

 

Mav will be doing the points on the website for us as he does for heat and he does a cracking job so thanks very much for that Mav

I think ive coverd most things however if more than likey missed somthing important lol
