TamValentine351 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 Enjoyed that tonight, thanks admin, some good fair racing i thought, Tosh was a lap down in GN and could easily have taken me out but sat behind me all race and Pusher in heat 1 moved right over to let me through when i was in lead, cheers to both of yous, Lee said im a different driver now lol the practice is paying off, but, its a wee bit easier starting on your own from White and getting a clear track to get away, thanks again lads hopefully cyas next week. Tosh924 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 (edited) some good fair racing i thought, Tosh was a lap down in GN and could easily have taken me out but sat behind me all race i am the daddy bfd lol, you did well tonight m8. try and get that arse round on the bends though and youll get faster lap times. easier said than done he says lol. quality racing tonight great to see some different folk in, and numbers up made for some good racing in my chair anyway. good stuff with walker whos found some illegal fuel somewhere cheers for the meeting trav, will try and get the pinto rebuilt for next meeting as it blew big time in the final. Kruiz 136 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 Well another final win.. out of where I don't know, certainly no pace and very little consistency from me (again), car set up was way off, first I had lots of oversteer then lots of understeer, but I managed to drive through the early chaos by being slow i think. I held onto 4th I think it was for a while until there was a little tangle amongst the top 3 and got up the inside. Johno didn't make it easy though pressuring me until the penultimate bend then tried to clear me over the fence lol God knows how I surved that hit let alone kept the lead and then Danskin tried the same on the final corner by which time i was just closing me eyes and hoping for the best, and somehow crossed the line 1st! Very unlucky to you both absolutely no idea how I even finished. Good meeting I thought despite being nowhere in other races although GN was a little boring from the handicap as i only saw one or two other cars all race. Johno3 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 Frst of all, thanks for the meeting Trav - very well run meeting. My first outing in F2's, and Imust say it is interesting. Not sure it is something I would race week in week out, but would definately pick some meetings to do. Will be there for the semi final, and world final, and then will pick some tarmac meetings I fancy doing. The final was a good race - I struggled to get passed the yellow top drivers early on, and then when I did, I feel behind Kruiz. I was trying really hard to keep him within striking distance, and when I realised it was the last lap, Ithought I was too far behind, so had an almighty dive to try and keep him near me. He held it well, and I didnt and dropped down to third, only to pick up a place when Dan spun out.
