big al 515 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Share Posted August 25, 2009 The semi went really well for me, I was almost down and out of the top 9 at one stage and spent a good few laps having a superb battle with Leech for 8th/9th with a few cars looking to catch us just behind. It worked out though and Leech and I both worked hard to make it through. The rest of the meeting started pretty well and gradually went a bit down hill I thought, the entry speed on the bends is pretty slow compared to the fast straights so hard hits are fairly easy although usually lead to spins, the hits seemed to get bigger as it went on and the racing probably suffered a bit. Still, there were a lot of cars so can't expect things to be incident free. Anyway, well done all the other qualifiers and great Final win from our antipodean debutant. Pusher_2 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 Firstly, weel done to all the World Final qualifiers..Also to the final winner NZ551 who I said must have been the most awake person racing because it was morning in New Zealand!! After being fenced on the first bend in my semi I was pleased to have recovered to a comfortable 8th position then with just 2 laps to go I came across 2 spun cars and that threw me out of the places for the world final. Thats racing and I hope I can work my way in via the consi semi at Coventry. The rest of the meeting was up and down, my second heat followed a similar pattern to the semi although someone gave me a real large on into Leech which brilliantly he saved!! but had a great B final close race with Cap until I bottled it and he took the win, well done M8, clean racing. In the Gn I was pleased with 2nd as Drum was on a flyer, I appologised to Al for squeezing him out early on as he had a good start and I definately helped ruin his race. Sorry again m8. That may be me for a few weeks as off for some Sun abroad so it will be the end of September before I grace the track for some more Real action. davey boy Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 really enjoyed the meeting on Monday night, was abit off the pace at one point suring practice but after i figured something out with the steering, i improved quite abit, was abit gutted in the fnal after being 2nd for so long but put the power down abit too much while turning out of a bend and spun myself and did the same in the GN but still enjoyed every minute of it espcially getting 7th in the semi. thanks for the meetin Trav Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Really enjoyed the meeting and track, couldn't make it go right in the early races but everyone decided to spin out of my way or even better behind me in the GN so trundled off to a good race for the lead with Lew.
