Walker363 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Share Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) Good evening all Tomorrow sees use racing at the big oval at ipswich raceway where we will be racing on wedensday then on thursday we make the long journey to baarlo race way for the 2009 long track championship. A few names will be in with a chance of winning. A few that spring to mind for me in with a chance are kruiz 136,tomd 112,MoR 137,JK H16. Last thursday at sheffeild seen us racing on the shale and in a national series round. The winners of the heat were dazza 290 taking heat 1 then tosh 8 taking heat two. The consi semi final was up next where the top 4 qualified for the world final. JK H16 came through to take the flag with grasser 233 in 2nd,trav 365 in 3rd and dode 151 taking the final qualifying position but it was not easy as big al 515 was trying everything to keep in the important top 4 positions but he lost the back end trying to hit dode 151 but his attempt never paid off. The final was up next and what a race it turned out to be with battles taking place all over the track. The best battle was with lee 531,walker 363,madcowie 323 where they were close together. Lee 531 got close to walker 363 and passed him for 5th. Going into the last lap trav 365,lee 531,walker 363,madcowie 323 were close together going into the last corner. Walker 363 made a last bend lunge and stole 6th from trav 365 and lee 531 which resulted in walker 363 getting moaned at for his last bender for 6th but hey no entertainers needed it seems ? On to the GN and dazza 290 came through to win after a close race with walker 363 so well done dazza 290. Anyway what you waiting for ? Get booked in for ipswich tomorrow and baarlo on thursday for what should be a brilliant two days worth of racing.
