COMMENTS ARE WELCOME THANK FOR TAKING PART IN TEST MEETING

Thanks for the meeting guys, even though i was slightly off the pace, I thought the cars handled well, the damage is another thing that will stop to much of the OTT driving. I really enjoyed the racing and it should be a good season. glad i didnt have to worry if I had enough fuel etc.

Cracking meeting Lads really enjoyed it seemed excellent the new physics even when the racing was close

Grats Tosh and all other winners

Cheers for the meeting Spike well run :appl:

Generally top class racing tonight, gonna be a struggle from the back this season if the SS bang each other around that much. But I really enjoyed 99% of the racing tonight.

Seemed like most people started to get the hang of it(even Kendo  ), but if you want to leave comments on the physics they will be taken onboard

Have to say..... the short amount of time i was in the running thought the racing was great, had a great battle with spike and mart, great lads :), runing on a pad seems to be a disadvantage but i have no choice, so i'll hve to practice a bit more and try to get the hang of things, as for the physics, YUP  from me, still don't like the contact part, but years of hitting things when i want just doesn't happen for me in these, damage seems a little ott, and not quite right to real life, haven't seen many real life F2's bend that easy and Mk2 escort rear axles would be non exsistant if they did,

But over all "I ENJOYED IT "

Its a fine line with the damge, tooz are quite soft really and a good hit on the wall can and often does end a race. Its made harder because we can only simulate a puncture, wheel bend or wheel off. We have made them so a big hit will end a race but most wall bounces will be ok.

Having said all that, we did err on the side of more damage because there is a setting on the server where you can turn it down if we decide it is to much.

Apologies to those who I caused grief for last night. My lack of preparation caused me alot of problems which invariably was passed onto others whilst I was on track. Heat one I ended Kendo's race right at the start by spinning in front of him causing him to sustain damage - sorry. Heat two after spinning as soon as I hit the accelerator, I was last but got into a rhythm and felt ok. Aub passed me and I decided to have a bit of fun, by cruising into the bend and pushing him wide, he lost a small amount of time, but the following bend I wanted to leave him to his race but I was pushed onto Aub causing him to go wide again. He then took it out of me, broke my car and that was that. I left as it was obvious to me that when I wish to have a bit of fun, others are annoyed about it, but the other way round I have to accept it. After all it was a test meeting, so I was testing things!!!

As for the cars, not too sure about them yet, but as I said before, a little more preparation I may do better.

No offence intended Mav, but you are making it sound worse than it was in my opinion. Surely by leaving its just quitting with no attempt to improve?

Also, i know its not right and its not in the rules but i do tend to do what Aub does if i find myself at the top end of the table (im guessing he was leading at the time?) and end up having to fight with someone who im either lapping or is slower, which in itself is frustrating as i tend to loose my head a lot when under pressure.

No offence intended Mav, just my two pence worth.

Sorry i couldnt make it by the way, was my birthday etc.

Enjoyed lastnights meeting even though I didnt do well points wise, had a great battle with Simon in heat 3 which was nothing but fair good hits. My only concern (may just be my driving) but for some reason in the dark I was off the pace quite abit but dont know if its cus im not use to driving in the dark and struggled to find the racing line but I was well on the pace in daylight.

Also to drumb, sorry bout the hit that took you out in the GN, was far too over the top.

Stick at it mav it the only way to improve you dont improve by giving up.

Well, I thought it was an excellent meeting. The physics are now pretty much spot on in my opinion really does feel an awful lot closer to what the real thing feels like to drive.

One or two need to sort themselves out (I don't mean poor control, I mean poor standards of driving towards others) but on the whole it was pretty good. The damage is pretty much spot on too I would say, F2s are soft and those who drive big pile ups and into someone who is dead on the track flat out, just because it won't hurt cos its a game should now have to think twice.

Obviously thats the first meeting using those physics, so I won't say it is absolutely perfect in every way just yet, but I see a lot of potential and if people are able to race it properly I look forward to an enjoyable full season in F2s ahead.

Well done to all those involved in adjusting the physics, and thanks to those who ran the meeting.

Well what a bloody joke last night was!

LOL @ Mav i thought id have some fun.....Well i hope the next time some is a lap down behind you when your going for the lead they decide to have a bit of fun and take you out so you can retire for what? must be heading for the 50th time now? I also find it very very funny when certain drivers moan like fook about the mod crying that they cant drive it blah blah then still go out and drive like dicks!. Thats it boys keep driving like that get no respect and then YOU get nailed every bend then moan about it i cant do this everyone takes me out blah blah. And then of course we get the i want a game i can just pick up and play....Now don't get me wrong me included there was a core group of drivers that used to be in the heat practise server every friday and Sunday for at least to hours practising. Its these same drivers that are now moaning they want a pick up and play game lol Heat was never a pick up and play game to the likes of kendo so why all of a sudden do they want one?! And then we had tosh making his own rules up as he went along, Why dont you send a pm to Dave mate asking to become admin? but then again maybe not as last time you were admin on heat you done sod all. From seeing the idiots who were out last night i wont be returning once my fee runs out thats it i will be sticking to sim-stox from now on a place where people know how to drive.

don't hold back there aub son lol say what you see....

Personally really enjoyed last nights meeting. The new physics are exactly how i was hoping they would be adjusted too, the car drives like a car now in my opinion. A big well done to all who put the effort into the change.

I also thought the contact was much better as a result. With the monopoly of the hits now on the bumper, I found the cars less likely to spin and easier to control when on the receiving end.

Possibly agree with Budge in that the cars do damage very easily, but the jury is still out for the moment from my point of view on that. From a spectators view, the cars do break fairly easy in real life when hit hard into the fence etc, but from a games point of view it can end the race very quickly which will prove frustrating. At least it should put paid to the ott hits in the future, unless the hitting driver does not care, which could again prove frustrating if on the receiving end.

In terms of 'picking it up and playing' I now dont see this as being much different to heat. For me I started very badly at heat and worked my way up the grades by putting in the practise hours and adjusting the set ups. After a while I had a reasonable set up for each track which meant I could 'pick it up and play it'.

as a few of you will know, I hated this rfactor malarky at the start because it put me back out of my comfort zone and back to being a novice, and also meant I had to put the hours back in which I didnt want to do if I was to be honest. Now once again I have worked my way back up the grades by puting the practise hours in and have a reasonable set up for most tracks again. Don't get me wrong, i'm no superstar in this either, but I am in a position to pretty much 'pick it up and play' again and usually within 30 laps or so I am on my pace. So really if you think about it, is it so different? the answer is the same...put the time in like you did with heat and you soon will be able to 'pick it up and play it' again. :)

Thought last night produced some good racing for those who know how to race.

Still the fast guys are fast so the physics havent changed all that much

the damage has improved, but not enough to be realistic.

The bit what impressed me most is gone are the days of drifting, flat out nerfing, and cheap shot rear wheel takeouts.

WD drumb on an excellant update

and wd spike on a smooth meeting.

I think you'll find that I didn't really type at all on Monday night so i'm a bit bemused by your post mentionning me tbh.

In fact, the couple of times I did type anything was actually all positive (YES THAT'S RIGHT, POSITIVE) including even GR to a couple of people in the final when there was a 4/5 way scrap for the lead and all the hits seemed on the back bumper and at a decent level to me, certainly didn't notice during that battle, people being fenced.

Just cause you had a duff night and scored zero doesn't mean other people's nights were duff.

Sounds like your issue is more with the driving standards than anything to do with the game.

I seem to recall you retiring once or twice in the past yourself.........

PS - No probs Mav :)
